If it always happens, then its very unlikely to be RNG? hence the "random" in rng?
It's based on ESL ranking, not RNG. At least that is my impression anyway.

There is no group of death. Everyone is placed based on their rankings only. Stop overrating teams based on their performance 6 months ago. Faze and Navi Navi were top teams and won events before the player break in July last year . After that they are just like any other team in top 10

It makes me so sad to know that the playoffs inevitably will be less exciting knowing that only 3 teams from group A are getting through. These groups could have been even if C9 gets swapped with outsiders tbh

Not that i dont see your point, but also navi and faze have not won anything last season at all. Why do they deserve the good seeds?
Both mouz and outsiders rank also show they are top 5-10 and not top 3.

this whole seeding problem started at Rio, when c9 and vitality got number 15s and 16s, got faze and navi and started an underdog major.

that is not a seeding problem, that is a c9/vitality problem that they dont win their games.
That is not a seeding problem, you cant go to a 3-0 team and tell them they dont get a better seed because we like the brand of some other team that went 3-2

Well they could just do better in the other events? Both made it to legends stage, but only c9 made it to playoff.
Vitality played world final, but did not do well, they also did not qualify for fall final. So they have fucked up more than just going 3-2 and not 3-0 at the major.
c9 is more of a partner team problem, but still they are playing major, esl events and they have not won since Dallas where half the teams did not come..
So they could just have done better and therefore get the better seeds.

yeah, I agree that seeding is purely based on rankings, teams shouldn't be awarded better seeding because they are famous.

Well yes, it is hard to argue for anything else.
Thats why people are stupid because they complain that "top tier" teams that dont win events for a long time, but dont get #1 seed
