Buying Academy player = Scam
ReDWateR |
Germany Nickk8k_
I just don't understand what's the point of buying Academy kids for that much money? Aren't there better high elo Faceit players in Sweden? So they payed 600k for random kid? Please dont say Headtrick is "Professional" lol. CS scene actually thinks it's an actual sport lmao. scout best AWP player on Faceit, give him 2 weeks to show himself, if yes pay 5k salary, problem fixed.

where do you get 600k from lol Also, one bad game === random kid
2023-02-04 16:59
It is just a mouse clicking videogame, not an actual sport so you should pay for good health and athletic. I just don't understand man... Even so called tier1 players aren't professionals.

I think NIP gave up on promoting their academy players ever since phzy for some reason That and if if worked for G2, it would work for NIP copium

It's their money probably some millionaires just having fun

+1 :) there is no need to even create academy teams and "rising stars" lol, there is more hungry players on Faceit. Giving paycheck and teaching kids how to matchfix will not make them future stars, it's a talent not a hardwork.
2023-02-04 17:03
yea he didn't play for hellraisers before spirit.....

lauNX story, random Faceit star that was picked by sprout.

again not a random faceit star played in nexus which was probably ranked higher than navi junior
2023-02-04 17:08
If you don't know what you are talking about, don't talk. Launx was one, if not the best, young stars of Romania, he played for about 1 year for the best team in Romania (Nexus) where he had shown to the scene what he's capable of, after that he was picked by Sprout which qualified for the Rio Major, coincidence?

But he was picked by nexus already a built good player right? Nexus scouted him. It's not a project of "Academy"

G2 bought monesy from navi academy In Mouzis 3 players from Mouz NXT.

Whole G2 roster came of nowhere, Mouz maybe did okay, but it's 1%. All of CSGO legends were hungry randoms not kids that play for "academy" and matchfix. You didn't got my point, anyway...
2023-02-04 17:09
600K was for m0nesy, which obviously was a good move for G2. Idk how much headtrick was bought for but highly doubt he was offered the same price as m0nesy. That being said one map, game or even an event isn't enough to come into any conclusions.

Easy answer: Supply and demand Its an high demand for future stars. And Orgs with most money gets the players with most potential. Roughly speaking tho.

There should be academy league with every 2 game changes, like picking random players, if someone overperforms all the time maybe keep, it would be good for new talent scouting, I don't see a point keeping Academy players that long and trying to rise them. Should be so entertaining and good for CS scene. What is the point of keeping for example Demon in Navi Junior? Will he become a star? No, is there better players In Ukraine even his age, ofc.

where tf else you gonna get new players to develop????
2023-02-04 17:23

#25, also CS doesn't need that "develop" shit like an actual sport, game is 11 years old, everyone knows everything, it's all about aim. You can have smartest brain like Gla1ve but suck to random stuck of aimers. I don't know why people take CS that serious... Tier1 CS is also absolute clownfiesta.

if its all about aim then why do pros worry about util and having a IGL?
2023-02-04 17:26
1 reply
1 IGL + 4 aimers. To be a good IGL you don't need to be raised by Academy team, Boombl4 is a proof, dude came from nowhere, he started playing cs in 2015 or 2016

BRO SAID LIKE GLA1VE LUL
2023-02-04 17:30
such a dumb take
2023-02-04 17:29
I just think that NAVI Junior is overrated. Mouz had/have way better players on their academy.
2023-02-04 17:30

Agree, they saw potential and gave them chance, but what is the point of keeping Navi Junior? They should bring new roster every month by scouting good players and keep 1-2 maybe they will find out gem.
2023-02-04 17:31

Its mostly because of B1T and m0nesy. If a player like MHL would have played for NAVI, he would be here instead of headtrick

Mouz NXT was dominating academy league 2-3 or maybe 4 seasons, than they got a chance in main roster, but all other teams always were stuck at bellow, instead of changing s and finding talents they didn't nothing.

many orgs just got a team and had no plan at all. ofc those teams will be useless
2023-02-04 17:41
Meh, if these faceit players are so good then they should team up and play in tournaments
2023-02-04 17:30

Thing is non of tournaments give them chances :) and also it's like saying random street football players should team up and play on premier league. Big bosses should scout them and add to their team as a fresh blood.

Couldn't anyone form a team and play to join the RMR tournaments? I don't know much about ESEA Advanced or whatever but can't anyone join those as well?
2023-02-04 17:38
yeah im waiting for invitation and still didnt get it thanks to these academies, for 5k$ salary i would be motivated to learn some maps, teamplay and headshots

No evidence that they paid that much for him m0nesy was a pretty unique price. The benefit of academy players is usually they are cheaper than more experienced players and have strong future development potential when paired with experienced teams
2023-02-04 21:14
Headtrick might have been six figures, but he definitely was not 600k. That would be lunacy.
