First of all, even this stupid definition says "a game" so unless you are arguing that Astralis never won a single game in the entire year, it doesn't support your argument at all.
And secondly, that definition is not how people use the term at all. Carry just means top performer by a large distance, nobody distinguishes between a player that top performed and won the game versus a player that top performed and lost the game

I would like to offer a suggestion. The player in question raises the average itself. To make a true list, take that player's contribution out of the average, and have the average rating of the remaining players. Find out the percentage difference of that number with the player rating. That's more meaningful, I suppose.

It WOULD make a difference. The average will increase or decrease depending on the carry player's rating. And so will the ratio percent
