That's good to hear! I honestly felt the same way as well with overclocking / undervolting, You hear about it and think it's uber scary, but in truth it's relatively simple and quite safe as long as you just use msi afterburner and watch a lot of videos to learn. I've had my 2070 for a few years now and only like 4-5 months ago I went into learning more about undervolting and overclocking, set up a profile and I now have 10%+ performance and much much lower temps!
Using heaven benchmark (between 3 benchmarks) pre undervolt / oc settings I had 88-90 fps average, 9-10 fps lows, 156-160 fps max 1440p ultra with upwards of 63c temps average like 57-59
after spending a few days testing and optimizing I now get 98-100 fps average, 33-35 fps lows, with 170-176 max fps with a max of 58c temps and average 53-55c. Not an insane performance increase but the lower temps feels super nice especially considering I only have 45-50% fan speed at those temps
