G2 and Heroic are going straight to semis and will have one less match. The padding with 0 games played will be 6 points. I think G2 is too strong to skip, but gambling on Outsiders/Navi might be worth it since you will get points from one more match. Im pretty sure im right about them only getting 6 points since the padding is done before they play any game, correct me if im wrong. Thoughts?

Only worth if you think 1 of them makes the final. Otherwise you get 2 games and a +6 as opposed to 2 games and a -3 for being eliminated in the final.
i gambled on vitality just because why not
i dont see navi/outsiders beating heroic right now so i went with 2 vita + 2 heroic + electronic
i also picked spinx + magisk from vita, so if vita ends up going to final, then i must get some points from either spinx and magisk, because apex will get 0.8 rating like usual, and dupreeh doesnt ave high peaks, and someone other than zywoo has to step up

Nah, Heroic is on the other half of the bracket and you need to get 2 players from both finalists to be a chance.

+1 No way Liquid/Vitality beat G2. I think NAVI will beat VP, against Heroic could be 50/50. So I'm definitely picking players out of these 3 teams.
There's always a chance, but I think G2 is more likely. I don't really see too many upsets on the cards outside of maybe Outsiders vs NaVi.
This is my team for reference. Just gone for 4 bigger scorers in the tournament so far, then Nitr0 to limit the losses there to -3 once Liquid lose.

My theory re nitr0/apex was that either way they are going to be shit and go negative when they play, so I may as well take the one that is going to be out first and cop less of a penalty. -3 for being eliminated vs potentially -10 or worse if they end up in the 0.7x rating vs G2.

wdym? if vita and heroic both make it to the final, then they'll most likely farm more points on their way to the final compared to other teams

it depends on player, some players will definitely outscore that free 6 points for playing one extra match, but if for bot players like apex, nafany, nitro etc, you would like to have those free points
it just comes down to who you believe will farm more points
if heroic win outsiders/navi they will have one win, one lose and +6 points for padding while winner of outsiders/navi will have one win, one lose and -3 points for padding
but of course if winner of outsiders/navi defeat heroic they will get a lot of points
