to be honest these debates are difficult because when Kennys was awping the awp was so overpowered it was basically the 10 bullet awp, before the crouch peek awp was nerfed and the awp had the running scout speed.

Economy system was more punishing back then basically if you lost 5 rounds in a row and won 1 round and lost another round you were back on vanilla pistols. There was no loss bonus back then.

i'm not even going to give his youtube a view. I hear him enough when he pugs with other NA streamers I watch. His takes are always abrasive and polarizing. He yells and doesn't let anyone else get a word in. I just don't enjoy hearing him speak. If I had to guess, he probly claims he is/could've been the best AWP in the game too.

He was the "dominant" Source AWP for a brief period of time when the quality of teams was extremely low. Plenty of players were better than him. In NA alone: devour, DaZeD, AZK, adreN, and fRoD were all objectively better. Hell, Nightfall was too, for the brief times he was around. You could probably argue for frozt, n0it, brawwr and ridic too. The thing is, mOE was 100% reaction time with 0 sense. He was very fast in his prime, but his accuracy was pretty bad.

Yeah, I mean, we are talking well over 10 years ago. 2008-2013. Most people who were around have moved on. mOE was good, but he was also always the butt of jokes because he was so ridiculously whiny. Also, if you can believe it, at one point he was in actually decent shape.

I think so too. It was easy af to use awp back back in the days. But he still pulled a lot of sick clutches with it and deserves credit for it.

KennyS was a reaction AWPer, so being able to run and gun was huge for him. Oddly, m0nesy is similar except that he's in a meta that relies more on angles so it taught him to be better about his positions. He still has the same weakness as KennyS, in that he sometimes reacts too fast to get the shot, but he's better about his awareness and has more consistent aim (m0nesy improved a lot from when he first joined G2 and tried to out-reaction everyone he saw).

Yeah he was mostly just insane and popular on stream but never that great in pro cs. Mostly he was just okay and especially at majors pretty bad. Freakazoid tried to argue he had potential to be better than s1mple which is just stupid :D
