FaZe will loose karrigan because he is already too old he simpy cant win trophies while being 33 and rain is just washed... replacing rain is not that hard there are plenty of good players that can replace him but karrigan you cant replace such a genius espically because right now you dont have a lot of good igls that are willing to play for FaZe only options for faze are Nexa (bad caller but good rifler which faze dont need) Aleksib (just dont) Snappi (32 no reason to buy someone that will retire one year after) HooXi (it could work... idk) Gla1ve (washed) CadiaN (awper) TabseN (married to BIG wont leave until 2027) ApeX (pls retire dont ruin your name legend) Nafany (just why?) non the less best option for faze is the 29 yo polish legend snax! he has a lotttttttt of experience he showed that he still has the fire power last year, he is big brain! and with karrigan has a coach he would have 2/3 years at faze

I mean yes, it's a huge risk but the only way of getting an established IGL is by paying a lot of money because you would potentially have to take the main piece of a different team which is not going to be easy.
FaZe clearly are not the type of team that spends big money on transfers (at least not anymore) so they may as well take the risk and try to help him succeed and get used to tier1 as much as possible.
It's either spending big bucks or trying your luck with an unproven player, not much choice left.

Rain has an almost 1.1 rating, just a bit below Twistzz and Ropz, and was MVP on the Antwerp major... Calling him washed is delusional. He's been through every iteration of FaZe over the past 6 years, and is not only one of the most solid riflers around, his experience and decision-making are echelons above other players of like skill, and has adapted to every line up, making him supremely versatile (minus awp). His play hasn't declined, and he still looks good in this lineup. He anchors sometimes on the lesser site, so his stats aren't as high as the other players, But when he's pushed he can frequently confirm multi kills.
There's nothing else to talk about. I don't think this team needs to make roster changes right now. They just need Karrigan in the firing range, and they need to stop saying this is the FaZe era, check their ego's, and put the work in like everyone else. It looks to me they haven't changed much since their run last year, and need to update their maps.

and karrigan is not a fragging IGL, but he's actually doing much better lately, so I honestly can't understand why people even say that, look at his 2023 rating so far, it's much better than his average, he does so much better fragging wise.

FaZe is one of the strongest teams right now with G2 and Heroic, so changing anything would not make sense, ofc there's going to be changes in two years or something, but this will happen with 90% of the t1 teams. If we are going to replace karringan and rain in 2024 or 2025, the situation would be way different, and there will be different players to consider from, so we can't really know who will replace them in the future.
what you're saying makes absolutely no sense, and you also talked about the present. you can't predict what will happen in 2 years, hobbit looked like he was done and then came back, and it's also so irrelevant because you don't know who will be available in 2 years, so what's the point?
at the moment they don't need any roster change, unless they can actually bring a top5 player to replace rain, or a top IGL to replace karrigan(and even this would be worse in my opinion), it just makes no sense.

Well sooner or later yeah, perhaps after the major if things all go south, I expect around this time next year tho, during the playerbreak tbh, they don't HAVE to get a new player to teach IGL, I believe firmly and of the 3 youngsters could easily be capable of it, the thing I find odd is the amount of times siuhy is mentioned, he's decent sure, but unproven as fuck. Literally everyones first pick just cause they haven't seen his bad side of IGLing like most t1 ones, and when everyone sees your bad side, then they hop on the reverse and change up.

I don't see them them making changes in the meantime as well, cuz they are currently competing for intel grand slam. Young IGLs' advantage is that they can adapt, and under the coaching of experienced people like karrigan they can develop. Surely it might not work out, everything is possible in cs. And imo making star players like ropz or twistzz call is not the best idea, as they will waste their potential.

k0nfig is super inconsistent, why would you want him instead of rain? makes zero sense. yekindar is probably an upgrade but I just don't see it happening.
device over broky.....why? currently device is far from his peak, don't see him doing better than broky, especially when broky is also a combination of very passive like device and sometimes super aggressive.
people really need to understand that besides stats, it's also the team itself, ropz and twistzz came to faze because of karrigan, they didn't do it for no reason, rain and karrigan also know each other so well. any roster changes right now seriously won't make any sense unless you can really get a superstar like yekindar or s1mple/zywoo/sh1ro.
besides that, any change would be a downgrade for me.
He already did win a trophy at this age. I suspect they'll just keep him for a couple of years

I think it was more of a comment in regard to karrigan being "too old", TaZ is 36 and might just get to be the oldest Player ever at a Tier 1 Event If they win another BO3.
you're really delusional if you think karrigan/rain are the issue.
rain is doing really good job, and so is karrigan. their issue is not a tactical issue, and not really a lack of fire power, they just lack that little chemistry to manage to win these rounds that they just should win.
losing too many Xvs4, Xvs5, Xvs3, you can't take every clutch but they should convert MUCH more number advantage rounds.
they also have to stop losing against eco rounds which happens wayyy too much, and again it happens because lack of chemistry, they just fall somehow 1 by 1 instead of doing trade frags.
it honestly feels like faze needs to play some retakes, as they used to in the past to get that little lack of chemistry back, a bit more communication, a bit more trade frags, they REALLY lack trade frags,
they don't have aim issues or tactical depth issues, and they don't need any roster changes atm.

yep exactly. in the beginning of the second half of last year I felt like they had tactical depth issues, or perhaps everyone just studied them hard.
towards the end of last year and right now I just feel like they're so close to being on that form again, I think tactics wise they do fine, and also aim wise they do rather okay(slightly worse than their peak but still more than enough). it's just these little communications that's lacking, converting rounds with number advantages, and play more for trades.

FaZe are (imo) at their best whenever they’re underdogs, cause at any event they play they are contenders, problem is as you said, when you are THE team to beat, everyone from Heroic to Apeks watches FaZe demos😂 cant really do much else but innovate and adapt, and i bet that part specifically ia really hard to pull of successfully, both for karrigan as IGL and the roster as a whole, anyway, I thought 2022 was a hugeeee success, and if this 5-man sticks together, they probably have a lot more wins left in them.

Pretty much this but id also add that they lacked a main carry if you know what I mean. Everyone, even karrigan, fragged well but they lacked this 1 guy who will win a round out of nowhere which was pretty much always the case during the tournaments they won. Also for some reason they all looked pretty depressed in katowice for some reason, hope nothing bad happened behind the scenes.

I agree, it wasn't happening as usual, but I think that's a lesser piece for their performance than the other reasons I mentioned.
I think this way that syrson said GG and BIG will go international, maybe tabsen will accept faze. I'd really like a +tabseN and +XANTARES even though FaZe is broke ask I think xantares is not that much money but considering he is 27 already (wtf) they probably wont buy him. But I don't think it's a good idea to replace 2 at a time. I think rain is not that bad it's the rounds that are bad now. calls are not working out for a long time. Maybe karrigan should finish at the top. I really really love him and I don't want him to be kicked, it would be better if he steps down by himself or make a brand new playbook because faze is painful to watch nowadays.
I think by the time that karrigan leaves Faze, tabsen will be ready to give up on the german scene and join Faze.
-Rain is a fortnite faze fan level take. if you claim to know anything about CS youll know rain is near irreplaceable in the sense that he does all the shit jobs so the 3 key players can shine along with the shit jobs he also does the roles that are star player for their difficulty (outside nuke, jaguar ancient for example).
Think before talking, im aware a lot of people have had similar opinions but they've got room temp IQ and are clearly not to be trusted.
As for Carrygan im not sure who the replacement would be, i like siuhy but i dont think hes ready it would take faze a long time to be S tier again which they dont want. id give him until the end of the grand slam (IEM brazil, dallas and pro league i think) then make a decision.
Also seeing people talk about broky calling sometimes but cmon guys put 2 and 2 together for once hes an awper if the awper doesnt call his own opening sometimes you end up with sysron aka MIA.

Faze will probably have to gamble due to the options not meeting their requirements; T1, won titles, can call in English etc. I felt like gla1ve could replace him but I don't think he's interested in calling for an international roster plus he seems committed to Astralis and vice versa. Guys like siuhy will be a gamble and options like Aleksi and nexa feel like gambles at this point. I wish Tabsen would give it a shot but he also seems committed to the german scene in general

Karrigan is still fine, don't need a replacement, and if he needs, the best pick in my opinion would be Dexter (who is familiar with rope).

G2 with nexa were Major finalists and even had their chances against Navi on Nuke (literally one of the most tactical maps in the pool). The problem with that team was the lack of established AWPer and that Jackz was doing a pretty bad job at holding the site. Nexa is actually good at calling, even Niko called him one if the smartest he knew. Please, point to me another IGL, who could keep his very young, unproven international team in the top 10, like OG are right now.

nothing to discuss lol, they will play out at least this season with this roster (idk about rain, if he wants to continue playing, he seems unbothered, but plays very good), they will try to get grand slam with karrigan, if they fail, he might retire (i think he might retire after this season even if they win as he said in interview he does not know if he will play 1 more katowice)

Faze should try Niko as IGL. I can't recall exactly but he tried himself as an IGL in a team a few years ago and I believe he was best as an IGL. Also if possible, he should take AWP from Broky as well because he was the best AWPer when he tried AWP a few years ago in a team I recall exactly.
