I am terrible at chess but I really love it, so I play and I try to learn from my blunders :D
Btw I really like the Vienna game and the Scandinavian defense.

Just hit 1300 rapid rating. Not studying at all, I know I could get much better if I studied but I'm too lazy

1700 rapid on chess com
haven't really studied openings that much. I got some counters on couple of the most common openings, london and sicilian, and also some specific lines, such as copycat variation of vienna and traxler

watch gothamchess on youtube. especially his vidoes on the vienna gamit. ull get an insane ratingboost. im 1500 elo at chess.com (i know this is still shit), but i used to be around 1100 :D

2000 blitz 2100 bullet on lichess here
zywoo mode: surf kz and some 3+0 queue

I guess it's early to study lines with that elo. Knowing basic opening concepts is enough. Id say you should rather focus on learning and sharpening your tactics.

I used to be pretty good at school level, atleast in Classical (not really classical, but they gave 60mins).
I recently got back into it after few years. I am definitely worse than I expected, or maybe it's 5minute Blitz being too fast for me, cause 80% of my losses are on time.
On White, I almost always do Queen's Gambit or King's Indian.
Black is weird, cause people play whatever opening below like 1500. If it goes e4 e5, I just defend with Knight. If it's d4 d5, I do Albin Countergambit. Most of my defences come from YouTube shorts lol

I have played chess since I was 6 or 7 or something. But I play for fun only, I never study it. I suck at it.
Chess is also one of the few sports I follow alongside csgo

Youtube videos on openings( example channels: St Louis Chess Club, GothamChess, Hanging Pawns, Eric rosen, Jonathan Schrantz ,William Graif, Robert Ramirez) (Example openings: French Defense, Vienna Game, Polish opening, King's Gambit, Queen's Gambit), Game reviews and Analysis on chess.com games, check the Lichess.org opening explorer to see winrates of different moves/openings, maybe even use a chess GUI to analyze openings yourself with the latest stockfish because lichess/chess.com doesn't always have the best engine for analysis.
Paid options are to buy opening courses availablle on Chessable and Chessly.
Chess.com's discord has a big post somewhere on How to improve at chess.
