the truth is the Atomic Bombs were necessary to bring a swift end to the war with as little pain as possible because in reality those bombs not being dropped would have lead to an American Invasion of Japan experts estimated 1 million American soldiers would die in such an invasion for example the US lost 416,000 soldiers during the entire war ...... plus ontop of that it would have lead to the Soviet Union invading the North so you would have had Soviet Occupied Northern Japan would be just like North and South Korea so in reality over 10 Million Japanese people would have died in a ground invasion vrs the 200k that the Atomic bombs killed

as i said far more people would have died in a Ground Invasion of Japan and we would most likely have had Soviet Occupied Northern Japan make no mistake the Atomic bombings were horrific and brutal but it was necessary to bring a swift and as little pain as possible end to the war 200k dead or into the Millions easy choice

If I had to pick one. Best - Current numeric system. Though wrongly quoted as Arabic Numeric system was actually invented in India. It's just Europeans learnt it from Arab, so it became Arabic Numeric system. Some later corrected it to Hindu- Arabic Numeric System. Worst - can't really think of any.
