Liquid Good Run
 |
United States zovint
I guess there really is no shame in losing to the #1 team in the world, G2. :( Very sad for Liquid :(

Speaking incoherent sentences like that means you are upset but it's okay. We all understand by the way you're talking you are not above 15 years old.

Liquid wanted to pick Anubis because they have played it a lot more than G2. Didn't work though. Really doubt Mirage would have worked either
2023-02-11 21:13

Anubis was alright. They lost 3 clutches and still finish with a 7-8 half. I feel they should close that anubis game. Their inferno ct side is kinda bad thought.
2023-02-13 17:39
G2 haven't played mirage yet in 2023 so they probably didn't know how to prep. Hooxi also hinted that they have some new strats on mirage. Anubis was the their best bet.

EliGE has the opposite of a cocky attitude to me, just seems like he genuinely loves being a pro maybe that comes off as arrogant to some people. to me it's more like he's non-chalant

I agree. It is crazy, Elige didn't say anything arrogant in the last year. We believe, we can win". Man, he is thinking of winning, NA mentality over there.

I agree, I prefer the furia attitude rn. "We take 1 month of practice to lose against HTC". Everything is fine, no change needed.

It's just my opinion. I have been saying this for like 4-5 months already. For now time is telling me that im right. Btw all the team like heroic, vita and g2 won at leqst 1 trophy. Why liquid can't do win?

Over the period of the 4 or 5 months that you've been saying it, who has won trophies? Which teams won trophies in the last 4 or 5 months and you tell me which of those trophies TL would have definitely won if they didn't have oSee? My point is that trophies are difficult to win, even when you have all the right pieces. How many trophies have Faze and Navi won in the last 4 or 5 months and are you ready to say neither of them will win another trophy with their current lineup?

All the teams that i mentioned such a heroic, g2 and vita made a roster change and they won. Yes i do believe if liquid had a good awper like degster they would have won at least 1 trophy.

cheers. well Herioc are definitely in top form and a threat to win any tournament. I think TL are still getting better each tournament. If they were consistently getting worse, you'd have to switch things up but I don't think we've seen TL peak yet and believe it's worth hanging on a bit longer to see where things can go.

Vita win EPL over liquid. Worth mentioning tho liquid would have won had it been a bo3. Heroic won the blast fall.
2023-02-13 17:29
Vitality won a event and fail in all others. Osee is not a t1 awper, but they lost on finals because yekindar shit the bed most of the time. It is probably osee fault's too. Liquid lost by a margin of few rounds against vitality on EPL finals. Vitality changed a player before Yekindar came to team liquid. Yekindar drop massively, while Osee is constantly improving, specially on big matches.

"while osee is constantly improving, specially on big matches" 0,91 in sf against g2 0,93 against vitality in qf Yeah, liquid will not win a t1 trophy with osee as their awper. It's just my opinion.

I don't mind the change, but regali, mhl won't do better IMO. It is easy to smurf on t2 EU when your team is build around you. It is an another to play t1 cs. I feel the stats didn't show his improvment in terms of map control and gameplay thought. Jame can have crazy stats, he had litteraly no impact against Navi on quarters.

For degster, yeah. It will a bit crazy thought, but he is carrying OG to playoffs contender, while FlameZ is 2 steps behind of him.

At the end of the day, the tournament winners tend to be the team where everything clicks when it matters most, which frankly can be luck. Which is why even the best teams have a hard time winning multiple trophies, because you need everything to click for multiple tournaments. TL played great and had a match against vitality for the ages. Unfortunately they ran into the team that had everything clicking.
2023-02-13 17:26
It was a sad but expected loss. Liquid should still be proud that they made it to the semis, beat Faze, and did that insane comeback against Vitality.

I think this event was great for the development of Liquid, oSee has really started to emerge as both an Awper and rifler, and Nitr0 is playing the best he has since the Grand Slam run.

They’ll be back. I have a feeling this is only the beginning of liquid finding their form. In fact I won’t be surprised if liquid v g2 is the big rivalry of 2023.
2023-02-13 17:16
I think we can expect really good things from this team going forward. You can tell they are still teething. Yekindar and elige still go from 1.4 rated maps to 15 kills the next. They also are a little bit too cute for my tastes in the veto. But I’ve also seen some progress on maps. Their mirage is maybe the best in the world and I think they should lean into it harder but putting this much time and energy into developing Anubis tells me they are a for real team that expects top 4s at worst. An easy way to tell a team is coasting is when they don’t jump on developing a new map into a strength. And osee is showing clear signs of development and increasing confidence. As he gets better their ceiling goes up and up.
2023-02-13 17:28
liquid is known to be an org that spends loads of money on buyouts anyways. would things have been different tho if they managed to over pay and buy monesy back then instead of osee. monesy and yekindar sounds disgustingly good
2023-02-13 17:29
my main issue for this team : 1) Osee, he is improving, but he is not a stable t1 awper 2) Yekindar : the guy need maybe a reality check. VP didn't win anything with him. He chokes hard on important games. Also, even if you think Jame is the goat, you are playing with Liquid, who goes further on events (except the major). You're not the smartest player of the world and pro in t1 know how to play. You have bad habits, while other pros are way more professional. 3) Elige, he is too inconsistent 4) NAF, I don't know why, but against G2, NAF is just not there. Maybe G2 find a weakness, but he is not solid against them. 5) Nitro is okay overall. Their ct side is kinda random thought.
2023-02-13 17:45
They're looking good, they will win something this year for sure!
