Am i the only that thinks that is strange that they choose a brazilian actor to play Pablo Escobar in Narcos? I wonder why they didn't choose a mexican for that role.

The span one is prolly the most common. There's a weird thing here where because of local disputes some dialects are poorly viewed in other countries, cuz for example argentinians and chileans have beef with eachother so you wouldnt wanna sound chilean in argentina, etc. Some of the most inoffensive ones sound bad like peruvian xd.

That depends a lot on how you want to talk. I think the most neutral ones are Colombia, Peru and Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Bolivia If you want an accent with more intonation, there is Chilean, Argentine, Uruguay The one that I do not recommend is miami spanish or the miami accent, it sounds a bit strange, it is a mixture of accents and a bit strange to the ear.

By my experience putting english-speaking-series on with spanish subtitles work better than other way around. But in both you must of course make an concsious effort to understand what and why is being said word by word. The positive being of course that its much more fun than actually trying to study normal way.

This is a seriously decent tip. I've taken Spanish in school for a while and after we learned the basic stuff, we would watch simple Spanish TV shows with subtitles. Soap operas work really well for this

Start an online course if u cant pay ur personal teacher, watch movies and listen to music, put some games lenguaje in spanish, try to meet people online/irl to practice it, and then when u have the basics go to visit your favourite spanish speaking country on your own and try to socialize and have a good time. annyeong

the spanish in the video speaks quite quickly and there are words that one who has just learned spanish will find it difficult. I speak spanish, and I don't understand some words in the video.

that song is the worst thing you can choose to learn it, too much slang and that accent is quite difficult to understand even for some ppl with spanish as mother tongue I couldn't even understand some words there. stick to movies/series with spanish subtitles, you can also try some animated series with neutral spanish dubbing + english subtitles (if available)

That's the opposite of a banger song. GL with the movies with subs approach coming from korean. Been watching korean movies for more than 15 years and haven't learn anything other than "annyeong" and the "noises" people make when gets tilted.
