look at dota reborn and try to play original dota 2. oh wait you cant, because they transitioned the source 2 version into the main one. literally same will happen to cs, and there is not a single argument as to why it wouldnt be the case. if you look at previous installments of cs they were separate games only because 10-15 years ago the market model was entirely different, now valve have a multibillion dollar economy with cs and if they were to split the games it would mean starting from scratch, which is essentially a suicide for any company dont talk nonsense and try to spend at least 1 minute to think next time
