their marketing operation is to literally do nothing.

they can easily change the api settings and all the data miners would have nothing to do. they don't. they specifically spread information with updates and builds that the programmers play. the programmers could also be offline all the time or start the game outside of steam. that shows me that it is a targeted spreading of information.

fair enough I guess they do the minimum by just leaving the scraps for ppl to see and spread the word. Also, its not that bad a thing to give the ppl who care the most some warning that with all the new information something is legit coming soon.
tho honestly after the RL article I think its gonna happen in at most 2 weeks anyways. This is unlike in the past where ppl would find the tiniest thing and act like Source2 was coming in the next 3-6 months, but its 2020 or something lol.

it's the best way for valve because they can communicate certain things without really saying anything. this way valve also keeps a clean slate and doesn't have to answer to anyone. plus, all the other people are doing the work for valve while they can focus on what's important.
source 2 is coming, that's for sure. i can even imagine that rl got the story exclusively from valve but that's pure speculation on my part.

I'm not expecting much with the source 2 update besides the new engine and slightly better graphic capabilities (RTX and other lighting shit) + dev tools, revamped ui menu, and higher definition textures for the existing maps. if the update doesn't have all of these things I will be extremely disappointed and not even play the game. I don't expect Valve to rework mm, add an anti-cheat and 128 tick servers but if they do it will be nice. what will prob happen is just new engine code, same ui, same textures, same mm, but new operation along with source 2..

Valve will not release a operation with the BETA lmfao.
Two versions of the game will be playable for a while in the "beta period" then it will merge into one.
Im calling it now, Source 2 will make some changes in psychics and such that it will break ALL THE MOVEMENT SHIT, KZ, bhop etc. BUT , valve will release a way to use the legacy movement (csgo) for community servers probably through some console command.
Man people just want to believe/excited about something these days. Shouldnt be that hard to understand.
