Especially since they still havent won shit since their grand slam? You dont need to be on a team to see the very obvious flaws in liquid
1. Why would you replace him now? Because he's performing worse and he's past his peak.
2. The competition is fierce? The competition is dogshit and inconsistent.
3. Not going to be top 3 after this is over, nor will they retain top 5 with this roster, especially not when Yeki is talking shit about his own team while sharing an equally shit performance with his teammates.
The only reason Elige doesn't constantly bottom frag is because he's lucky enough to be teamed with Nitro who takes that spot every game, but rest assured you can find Elige nicely settled there most games with his streaky ass performance for the last year.
I really think they'll struggle with a 4 man line up

Let me tell you a secret: ENCE, a million dollar organization kicked their IGL in 2019 after winning a trophy and reaching major final, on the justification of it sunny bringing more firepower. The team got much worse and disbanded a year later.
Liquid, million dollar organization, brought in shox, french lurker, on a team with already a lurker in 2022. Didn't work and shox was kicked later.

He gave up most of his roles when yekindar joined. This has been said by multiple players on the team.
As far as where he should be he’s still a forward duel taking type of player. I would absolutely still prefer he is taking more heads up duels on this team then anyone else barring yekindar and nitro when the latter is hard entering.
So yes 100%. He was a big part of getting this team to top 3 obviously. He’s still probably their best rifle on Ct side in particular.

Sure, he gave the “roles away” but he actually transitioned to a better role than he was playing. Look at his performance in the honeymoon event. The truth is that he got too lazy to keep up that performance. He’s terrible and should not be this underwhelming playing star positions. REZ of NA

That’s just not true.
He does have some high output ct side roles but there can be two, or three of those depending on the map and he’s actually to this day a super strong Ct player.
I’m not saying he’s at his peak his performances have been up and down but he’s 26 now I think. It wasn’t gonna last forever. If he can get himself back that high floor he used to have I think that’s all you can ask.

If 1.27 once every 5 series is “very good” to you, I think NA has lowered your expectations. Every other star player in top 10 can put up a 1.4 rating in a good series. EliGE plays the best positions and is the golden boy of Liquid, there is no excuses for him to have .8 rating tournaments.

Because he’s a star player and he’s supposed to do well when he’s having a good game?? Even YEKINDAR in much more aggressive roles is able to have series where he has 1.5+ rating. I don’t understand why EliGE needs the standards to be lowered for him, when most players in top 10 that play star positions are performing at a much higher level. Liquid is “”going well” but they will never win a trophy with kekLiGE in this form. Even Grim has carry games against top 5 teams. I mean come on, stop d riding EliGE and start critiquing him.

Anyone who can’t clearly see that from watching liquid is not worth arguing with.
Star player roles are extremely difficult and duel heavy. They are guys that go and get map control. This is almost always yekindar. Sometimes elige depending on the map but even then he’s usually a secondary front.

You rewrite a bit the history. Elige was a great player. Now, he is a average, sometimes good, But elige at 2019 was crazy, not only with krieg/aug.
Liquid during gram slam was crazy in terms of firepower. Even nitro was fragging.
It's like looking at electronic current form and say electronic is a shit player.

His and electronics careers have followed very similar trajectories. Elige got good a year earlier and peaked marginally higher but electronic had more great years.
It makes sense they’d both be falling off around now. It’s just the unfortunate truth of cs players especially players with as many miles as these two.

honestly elige is finished
Elige slowly but surely has been getting worse since he peaked in 2019. Poitning out 1 reason would be difficult but i think that yekindar taking the spotlight from him + elige being not very stable emotionally by nature + NA never recovering from the online era play a part in his downfall
