Spirit problem

Magixx and s1ren being inconsistent is something that prevents them from getting to the next level. Seems like they'll never be a serious contender and keep on being mid unless both of them find the consistency.

After the budget xqc meme I gained respect for you my Indian brother. Maybe they do need to add hobbit type player

I'd say chopper is this type of player

Chopper is too up and down(because he is an igl). They definitely need one more experienced player or maybe a good coach.
2023-03-19 06:46
interz is a free agent, -magixx/s1ren and this team is probably crazy. I think chopper is a much better IGL than nafany anyway

Interz better than magixx/s1ren???

He’s still young and has a lot of tier 1 experience, he will take the support roles and let Patsi and magixx frag out. w0nderful will continue to progress and the team looks solid

interz for s1ren would be cool ngl

Kind of. S1ren has higher ceiling but also quite inconsistent.

s1ren good , stats sometimes bad due to his roles and pos. magix only good sometimes and play way better roles. wonderfull isn´t the awper needed for this team .... deko would have been so much better or any good passive awper
2023-03-18 19:09

They should get w0nderful activated and let him do whatever he wants. I mean I know there's a structure and Spirit's gameplan revolves around riflers, but as an AWPer it's important to be able to provide openings if it's needed. If they don't want to give him more space, change roles or bring in one more aggro rifler (donk would be ideal). There's simply too many passive players.
2023-03-18 19:15

what????? most rifflers there are agressive, but they need a passive awper like dev1ce who can just put crosshair and let the rifflers work slowly opening angles. wonderful is too agressive , making some rifflers have to adapt and try to be more passive , but they aren´t as good playing passive , resulting and dying , losing confidence and shit gets worse with time. even artFr0st from academy would be a better fit even if he isn´t top tier awper

HE HAS THE BEST ROLE TO HAVE THE BEST STATS????????????? lmao best player is patsi and chooper , anyone who understands cs, knows , this type of players are to ones harder to find who can do their roles to a good level. you can get any awper on that team and he will have the same stats as wonderful or similar easily.

You don't know what banter is, don't you? I mean they put Spirit Academy or insilio (i can't remember) at fifth place. It says everything and should be taken with a grain of salt. It doesn't change the fact they shit their pants against NAVI once again.

Spirit problem is that they are not a tier 1 team and their recent results are overrating them far too much. Spirit is pretty much a team that sucks on a tournament, then do good in the next, then disappears again, and that repeats.
2023-03-18 19:16

They suck because none of them is consistent. Even Patsi had a rough start in Katowice but since then he's stepped up his game. I believe they have enough firepower and good structure to get to the next level, but only if everyone's clicking together.
2023-03-18 19:19
1 reply
yeah, they play well, they have good teamplay and have good strats, their firepower isn't that great and the inconsistency kills them, even though agressive players are usually inconsistent I find Patsi way too hit or miss Like you said, if they all click it is a scary team to play against
2023-03-19 16:44
they're still like 19/20 years old, they need a little more time

Magixx's been super inconsistent ever since he joined Spirit, though. hltv.org/news/34617/a-look-at-inconsiste.. Just look at this. You can't even be a play-off contender if you have 2/3 players being so inconsistent. I'd like to give them more time, but I have really high expectations for this team, knowing how well they performed at both majors. And they manage to let me down time after time...
2023-03-18 19:33

damn, didn't expect magixx to be that inconsistent. I believe there's a good chance he'll step up tomorrow, especially against the teams he beat already

2:0 for Astralis because logic in CSGO doesn't exist. I always try to look on the bright side. Spirit always struggle against CIS teams no matter who they're playing against. It could be FORZE, NAVI, even Spirit Academy would give them a run for their money. They still have a chance to make playoffs but knowing them they'll fuck it up.
2023-03-18 21:38

That was the case for CIS teams, but this is against Astralis who: 1. Almost lost to tier 3/4 ATK on map 3 2. You beat them earlier in this tourney I realistically do not see Astralis winning tomorrow. About Liquid, Spirit have beaten them majority of times since 2022 (excluding katowice this year), so I would be slightly worried about liquid and be chill about astralis

their main problem is that apart from chopper they lack matured and experienced players.
2023-03-18 19:52
They have so good talentem players such as Patsi and Wonderful It Hurts to see Spirit being do inconsistent. Really Hope this team will be better in future, but i think the need to get rid of Magiixx

There's obviously a wide pool of talent, not only on main Spirit roster but also the Academy team looks pretty decent. Donk, zont1x, ArtFr0st could easily play for the main team, so if they were to replace someone, I wouldn't be worried about replacement as three of them would fit Spirit's demands. For example you could replace w0nderful with ArtFr0st, s1ren with donk and magixx with zont1x. 2 fluky major runs every year aren't enough for a team like Spirit. They've always been like a gatekeepers between T2 and T1 and fourth best team in CIS but I guess the expectations are way higher. Outsiders replaced n0rb3r7 with Kair0n just after winning the major. Spirit need to start taking risks if they wanna get out of the mediocrity.
2023-03-18 21:57
Ifeel their main problem is overconfidence

2023-03-18 22:10
More about individuals not showing up consistently enough. Also as much as I don't like the way of chopper's calling, Spirit's T sides have looked fairly decent lately. The issue resides in CT sides. They play super passive, not taking any risks and hoping for a miracle. In general they don't have many setups on CT side. For example I've never seen them do this boost in under on mirage where you can see the enemy crossing towards the mid box. It's quite easy to do, and you can catch your enemy off guard once or twice. Back in Antwerp they played one of the best CT sides I've ever seen in my life. On every map. Their teamwork was just on another level. Since then it's been getting worse and worse. Also, they used to be one of the best teams in the world when it comes to pistol rounds and so far this year they've had like a 20% WR in pistol rounds. Like they were losing every pistol round in Katowice. At EPL they lost 3 pistols against Astralis, 5 vs FORZE, 2 vs Liquid and against NAVI they lost all pistol rounds. One pistol round on Anubis and the game would've been different.

That's because in Antwerp they had an aggressive awper in degster. Wonderful is quite passive similar to osee.
2023-03-19 06:48
They've reached semi-finals in Antwerp and quarter-finals in Rio. They're pretty much a serious contender already.

It may be a couple factors - not letting wonderful do what he wants and open up his potential - wildy inconsistency by the riflers -very bad flash usage (only top team with less flash assists is furia in the last 6 months) It could also be that theyve hit a wall with chopper, you feel that with the pieces this team should easily be top 10 with the current landscape of the scene

Solid points. That's what I've noticed as well. They don't really use flashes to clear a certain angle. It can be seen whenever they walk into posted up AWPer who's basically set up for a shooting gallery. I mean it's safe to say their teamwork isn't as good as it was back in Antwerp for example when they were helping out with nades time after time, making them look godlike on CT side in particular.
2023-03-19 17:09
they just have to sell magixx and promote donk.
2023-03-19 17:10
They are quite young, of course they'll make mistakes, but I do not think one can say it with a straight face that they should be out - both show great promise of being amazing players.

I mean I'm just tired of seeing them be in the same spot for the past couple of months. When the team makes major playoffs twice, the expectations are going up and fans start demanding more. And aside from two major runs, they've done absolutely nothing. I thought 2023 would be the year when Spirit were gonna eventually catch up to the likes of C9 or Outsiders and regularly make playoffs at big events. But the first months of 2023 have been really disappointing.

I get it, but every team that's full of youngsters does that. Then need time to get battle hardened and get out of their own heads
2023-03-19 22:38
I think they rely too much on firepower. Maybe a more tactical IGL would do a better job with this team.
2023-03-19 22:40

Honestly their T sides have looked quite decent lately and I'm saying it as one of the few people who doubt chopper as an IGL. It's more about their CT sides. If you watch some of their demos from Antwerp, you can see the real teamwork. Playing off of each other, using different set-ups every round. They were getting like 11-12 rounds on CT side no matter what map they played and who they played against. And it's not even about teams studying them more. They just stopped using these kind of setups for some reason. For example they were known for lobby crunch on Nuke with 2 guys pushing from ramp with 3 coming from door/hut. I haven't seen them do that for months. In addition you can't win the game if you just keep losing pistol rounds which were the key to spirit's success in 2022.

S1ren is not the problem lol, he is an insane support/anchor and does great for his position and roles, he even hard carried vs Astralis and it still wasn’t enough because Magixx is not reliable enough, they could use someone like KENSi/Norwi
2023-03-20 00:18
theyre just inconsistent, high ceiling
2023-03-20 00:26
No change needed, only time, as u know they always have a good form during rmr and major, i guess the period before and after is kinda hard because they need to relax a bit because they really work as F... during these periods, and the loss of degster affected them a lot, we can see since this time patsi became a lot more aggressive because of a mini lack of entry capacity duo to a more passive sniper (i mean it's a good for a bad point)
