he dropped the awp because he dont want to make noise when he's going to get a rifle. Instead of swapping, he will just get a gun which will not make any noise.

this is the kind of a play that looks awful when it fails but genius when it works. He killed 2 so he probaly thought that they all leave because they are scared of the awp. Thats why he wanted to to push. But pushing with a tec is much better than pushing with an awp - so he drops the awp in case he dies so they can't get it. Not saying its a smart play in the situation but that's probaly his thought process right there.

Honestly the play could have been fine, but it wasn't necessary. I do this stuff sometimes, when I feel like I have to do more to win rounds, cause I feel like I can't rely on my teammates. Could be the same case for device?
