I’ve seriously never seen a team throw away so many rounds it’s unbelievable, not just in this game but in every game this tournament they’ve been doing it. Also they seemed a lot better/more promising coming into this tournament but they’ve just been so flat, plus it’s a rumour I’ve heard many times that the org is broke, we all know they’re shady as fuck. Maybe they’re match fixing? I don’t actually think they’re match fixing btw before everyone roasts me, just amazed at how a team can throw so many rounds away with whiffs and unfathomably bad decision making.

Genuinely though, Astralis is intentionally losing their current match, and the chat on the ESL YouTube stream is packed with bots attempting to disguise the situation as simply a bad day for the team. The degree to which they are underperforming is far beyond what could be attributed to mere strategic errors - even mechanically, their play is so poor that it must be deliberate. They are failing to secure kills and making unnecessary pushes during afterplants, indicating a deliberate attempt to throw the match. The casters on the current live stream (Spirit vs Astralis) are also noticeably uncomfortable and have been hinting at this fact. In fact, the situation hasn't been this blatant since the match between iBUYPOWER and NetcodeGuides.
