It does not. I needed 2 rehearsals (1 where i basically was too ashamed to really scream in front of people and more or less screamed in my head) to figure out the basics and then honed it over a few months until the first show and consequentially tour.
The fry, growl, etc isn't the problem at all. Its the breathing and the preserving of your vocal chords.

on other hand there's metal bands like five finger death punch who are meh but still popular/successful
i prefer to think that both genres are hard to become popular at in their own ways

Their perfomance is horrible as well. Sure, it's okay not to have a perfect voice, but you can still express your voice in different ways to make it sound good, put in some energy etc.

I've heard far worse. It's not that bad, just needs work on the mixing, especially the vocals. Otherwise, the riff is pretty groovy and the vocals are bouncy and keep the rhythm.
People are being reactionary because Lil Pump is just the new Justin Bieber where we all come together and make fun of anything he makes for social validation. It's not good, but it's not awful, it's just average.
