Furia bought a mansion
 |
Korea bresquedele
Furia has bought a mansion in Malta, which will house its esports lineups. The decision was made to have a training facility in Europe and they chose Malta due to the ESL (although apparently their Rocket League and LOL lineups will also use the location). Apparently even with FPX crash (FPX was furia sponsor and biggest sponsor just like TSM). Furia is one of the few organizations that are profitable and on top of that it is Brazilian. Its not about wasting resources like Heroic, but how you know how to use your resources.

Good for Furia, I think if Furia will regularly practice against EU opposition they will get much much better, although I'm still not sure about Art's place in the team, because honestly I agree with what Pimp and YNK have said about him, his strats aren't developing at all, his playstyle is outdated and easily readable by the enemies in current meta. But if that will be his oppurtunity to prove himself, then let him have it, I would be happy if he proved me wrong and finally achieved some tournament win with Kscerato and Yuurih, probably 2 best Brazilian players right now

If I were you I'd probably edit the part where u talk about pimp and ynk, you don't want people to laugh at you.

Why would people laugh at me for stating objective facts? arT indeed did not win a lan tournament, ever. His strats aren't working, his team is getting read right through like a book when it comes to big matchups. YNK and Pimp said the same thing, and they aren't wrong. If someone wants to laugh at me (and them) for stating facts, then that's this person's problem, I couldn't care less.

as much as I love watching arT's insane agressive style, sometimes I wish he just hold himself.. he's actually good aimer and has good reads of the game but many T1 teams just hold angles for a few seconds and take advantage of his pushes

That doesn't necessarily translate into profitability
2023-03-21 14:45
@jaimepadua on twitter. Jaime Padua also confirmed that the salaries paid to Furia players are the same as those paid to European tier 1 teams. If you want to know, they also purchased an entertainment center in the street art heart of Miami. furiawynwood.com/ If I remember, the price was 1 million. They have an office in Brazil, NA (even bigger than Europe. Their Apex and Rocket League lineup live there) and Europe now too. The cost to maintain the mansion will be 150,000.000 euros every 6 months. etc etc

All of that just points towards them overspending and not being profitable

True, but they always have money. They always manage to make more money too. Its mean they are profitable and far from bankrupt like Heroic. Furia even bought franchise slots for League of Legends and Valorant. It is very difficult for an organization to do this and continue investing.

Not really, it just means that investors invested into them. Faze have spent a shit ton of investor money for years, now they're almost bankrupt and never were even close to being profitable. They also "always had money". EG, TSM, and all these NA organizations are spending shit tons of money without ever being profitable either. Basically my point is, high spending doesn't mean profitability

Yeah but as I said, @jaimepadua confirmed too. So its okay for them. Jaime Padua is also an good economist (he studied economics in university), he know. He himself says "never spend what you cant spend". Furia went from a small town in 2018 on Brazil to become one of the largest organizations in the world in 2021. We can trust.

"the guy who owns the organization says it's profitable" Thank God there is a reliable source of information then...

What else do you want? Just look at Furias operations. And no, they dont have as many investors as FaZe and EVEN, EVEN Heroic. They just know how to invest and manage resources. Furia has no stocks to sell btw. The annual profit that Wynwood gives to Furia can be what Heroic needs to survive. They do weekly Apex Legends and Smash Bros (~5,000$ prizepool) tournaments for the local community and its always full. All of Furia merch items are always sold. Sold out. Check the website. Peoples can use brain sometimes.

I'm not stating that what you are saying is incorrect. I'm saying that you have provided no source. And are most likely talking out of your ass.

its not really about being profitable, as long as there is people investing in your team, all you have to do is be successful in the esport and have a good fanbase. People will watch, sponsor will keep paying cuz they are selling. The team has to win tournaments, being profitable is other peoples business.
