Whoever says "Smokes needed a counter since they were OP" needs to get their brain checked. Smokes are the most neutral shit in counterstrike, the only annoying thing about them are one ways, other than that, they absolutely didn't need this. AWPers will just have a field day and i pity site anchors and Smoke plays to deny info (nuke outside).

Idts the bullet passing through the smoke and opening it up would be in the final release it's an interesting concept but it has practically made a smoke useless if the CTs can just nade a smoke to gain info instead of flash peeking and gaining info or just guessing if they are somewhere or not. Nuke yard is going to be a tough time for the Ts

still enough time dude people jump spot small angles to see if there's an opponent and that time is definitely less than 0.5s. Besides would you rather give away 300 dollars for sure-fire info (like yes the smoke plumes quickly but the entire smoke disappears for that time period or risk losing 1000s worth of equipment using a flash peek that might be held by an opponent playing anti-flash. The one positive I can see is that no more random smoke spam.

that and no more 1 ways, this change is really good and gives some counterplay to oppressive smokes in certain angles when normally its just a guaranteed win if they smoke it off I played like 6 mm games today and the nade is definitely not OP, itll definitely make things like outside on nuke really punishing for the Ts but itll also make things like banana really punishing for CTs

To be fair, molotovs were much stronger in the beginning of CSGO They burned longer, did far more tick dmg and could not be extinguished by smokes At that moment they definitely were game breaking cause you could completely lockdown chokepoints with them. That's not possible anymore

If anything it just makes the game so much better. There would be more creative ways to use all the nades. Not to mention there would be no more 1way, or unfair disadvantage on the other side of a smoke. Honestly it feels like they're overreacting to it.
