Honestly I miss the old EPL where the regular season was online and then the playoffs. Its what made it different. Now it just feels like a regular tournament with a staggered group stage to make it feel longer.
Mostly I enjoyed it because you got to see everyone play each other rather than have the chance of making semis based on not playing good teams as such

Also what about the epl 2022 final that was a good
final by vita and liquid and cologne 2022? Cmon, u can prefer b03 over b05 but saying that b03 is always better is not true.

Every single big event final is played on Sunday so most people won't have work or school on that day anyway and the final usually starts at around 16:00 in EU time (where most viewers come from I'm pretty sure) so you have whole day before that to do what you need to do (like school work).

With bo5 you get to even do something else the first 2 maps because the 3rd map is the soonest the game will be decided. Especially if you don't care about the matchup is there any difference if it's bo3 or bo5?

It shouldn't be what you or the general spectator specifically want. I have realistically two to three hours per day for CS. I still prefer that the games be played on a format that has the most competitive integrity.
Having a bo5 or bo3 doesn't make a series more or less boring, it depends on the teams - an example of a boring bo5 final was C9 v ENCE in Dallas - but if it was bo3 it would've then just been a 2-0 and not any closer, multiple occasions in bo3s such as Blast Spring Final last year with NaVi beating Vitality 2-0 and the final being pointless to turn up to. The only difference is that a bo5 that goes to 5 maps is more hype than a bo3 that goes to 3 maps, but if say EPL S17 had bo3 final FaZe would've just won 2-0 no question, nothing changes

Bo3 is already a bit long if you compare csgo with most traditional sports. Its would be a mistake to make all finals bo5 imo.

it wont end in a quick 2-0 if both teams are equally good and if they aren't 3-0 is just as bad as 2-0

Agreed. On the last maps there are much more mistakes happening, and the gameplay is not that highlevel anymore in my opinion.

It takes too long, idk which teams will play that. Even that game was basically a bo6 cuz it started 1-0 with upper bracket advantage.

Reason #1 is integrity of players and tournaments. Imagine outsiders playing a bo5, almost 8 hours of gameplay, nobody would watch that.
It takes an entire day to play a bo3 for the players, including the prep work that's usually done the day before, it's just not feasible to play bo5 all the time. It's nice to have a couple of bo5s but they favor some teams more than others, that's another big reason why we don't see more of them.
90% of teams are dogshit on bo5. There's only a handful of teams with deep enough map pool and experience enough to withstand a bo5. I'd say only Navi and faze are really there right now, G2 needs to show a little more resilience. Go watch liquid v vitality bo5s it was a shitshow, both teams trying their hardest to lose.
BO5s are fun and all until someone gets stomped 3-0 or 3-1.

Definitely not all tournaments. Imagine how quickly it would get stale, too long, and boring. But for select tournaments it is awesome!
bo3 with random maps
Majors, BLAST World Final, Cologne, Katowice and Pro League. These tournaments should all have Bo5 finals.
The rest, Bo3. A title from a prestige tournament shouldn't come in a Bo3 like the others - that one SHOULD take endurance and the deepest playbook there is to win. Otherwise it's not that prestigeous at all.
Every playoff match should be a BO5 as well.

The only problem with bo5s are OTs in my opinion, when each map can go up to 90 minutes or so because of them, it just not a good experience for both viewers and players, especially if there are multiple of those in one series, tbf that's more of game problem than a format one, but still the fact that a bo5 can go on for over 7 hours in total, it's just too much
Ban all BO5, this is boring and takes ages.
