Personally i don't think so It is more historic that a "Orgless team" won a major.

They probably still got payed by VP and are still under-contract by VP but the rules didn't work the same for them as they did for the other teams. Whether or not we call them "orgless" is another debate. The entire purpose was to make a statement about not wanting teams to be involved with Russian Oligarchs. If they walked back on their decision it would be counteractive

What do you mean "if"? They already did by reinstating VP. There was nothing that changed about VP in the time between their rebranding as Outsiders for ESL/Blast events and their reinstatement, it was entirely an issue of ESL and Blast. Meanwhile, let's not forget ForZe is allowed to openly compete with a Lukoil sponsorship plastered on their jerseys and even in their in-game names for some online events. If the line is supposed to be "stamp out connections with Russian oligarchs at every possible opportunity" ESL and Blast have failed the most basic of eye-tests in that regard and cannot be taken seriously.

Didn't VP literally sell their entire company in September 2022 for 2.8 million USD??? They used to be owned by ESForce who allegedly has connections to Russian Oligarchs. I believe the delay in name change was because of verifaction issues. Basically they worried that the armenian who know owns VP was basically just a stand-in to make it look like VP didn't get oligarch money. And that's a completely fair criticism now first off Forze hasn't participated in any Blast events (except the major qualifier which they don't control in the first place) And i can't tell you why that is. They made a statement with VP and gambit and in both instances it worked. Both Gambit and VP ended up selling their team or entire org because of the sanctions. Now why is Forze allowed to play? Idk, maybe because not enough people cared. Maybe (though unlikely) Forze somehow was able to argue their way out of it. Or perhaps the rules are different for owners and sponsors.

That's not new. Richard Lewis, correct as he seemingly always is when given any amount of time, had already stated what had happened last year with the sale of the org. Unsurprisingly his sources were 100% correct. Why the delay for ESL and Blast, enormous orgs with guaranteed equal if not better sources and connections as RL? Spirit is another team that comes to mind where there is 0 transparency, and apparently people don't even ask. Where does their money come from? Where does their prize money go? We'll never know, and ESL and Blast don't even seem to care enough to ask. ESL and Blast are frauds. They held VP to absurd standards, and gave free passes to everyone else.

Releasing a financial report is not vital when the key component, transfer of the org, was known. What do you think ESL was waiting for? The specific amount of money transferred in something as specific as a financial report? Why? You think they weren't aware of ownership transfer prior to that?

Have you never watched a major CS event in Europe in the last 10 years or something? Every Cologne, regardless of German teams/players, the crowd shows up and cheers. Every Katowice, regardless of Polish players and teams, the crowd shows up and cheers. Every Malmo, Jonkoping, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Lisbon, Antwerp, Kiev, London, Odense, Krakow, Bucharest, Leipzig, Belgrade... the list is fucking endless, and crowds are always present to cheer for whoever is playing the game and playing it well. Not comically biased only cheering for teams of their nationality. Because, this might seem crazy, but most esports fans are not like soccer/football fans. Emptying the arena after the home favourite has lost is not normal. Booing the away team is not normal. Spitting on pros is not normal. SK won Cologne 2016. Did the German crowd just stop cheering at the final with NA and BR team? No.

Winning a fluke major is not only through their tactics, it's more luck involved. They are a tier 1, no doubt. But the major was fluke and one of the most boring finals I've seen. Hell, i would say it was one of the most boring majors except the crowd in only BR team matches (typical BR crowd)

Nothing in the vp org has changed from IEM rio to now, they were an armenian-owned org back then and still are. The players were paid by them, they just couldn't represent themselves as the org for no reason anymore. The trophy was sent to vp.

I don't think you have the right amount of IQ needed to understand this. But its not only the players that are the same, is their contractors, their staff, their coach, their psychologist, their sponsors, their location and such... And in the end, the org counts as nothing, what remains is the players who actually won. Here in Brazil for example, Fallen and team won 2 majors with two different tags, the legacy that remains is that they are still major champions, and no one cares about Luminosity or SK, the important are the players :)

ESL databases and such won't be changed, there it will be Outsiders that won and this will probably forever stay so but it's up to you how you interpret the situation if Outsiders = VP, same team, same location etc are the same so org anyway. It impacts the owner sponsorship stuff and such perhaps but yea it's more of a symbological sanction in the sense it will be "Outsiders" will remain as the winner in any official databases.
