Have you never watched a major CS event in Europe in the last 10 years or something? Every Cologne, regardless of German teams/players, the crowd shows up and cheers. Every Katowice, regardless of Polish players and teams, the crowd shows up and cheers. Every Malmo, Jonkoping, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Lisbon, Antwerp, Kiev, London, Odense, Krakow, Bucharest, Leipzig, Belgrade... the list is fucking endless, and crowds are always present to cheer for whoever is playing the game and playing it well. Not comically biased only cheering for teams of their nationality. Because, this might seem crazy, but most esports fans are not like soccer/football fans. Emptying the arena after the home favourite has lost is not normal. Booing the away team is not normal. Spitting on pros is not normal.
SK won Cologne 2016. Did the German crowd just stop cheering at the final with NA and BR team? No.
