By this logic SK in their prime winning 2 majors would put players like Fnx and Taco, both multiple Major winner, in contention too simply because they have a far better resume than 99% of the EU player pool today. Same goes for Fnatic in their prime. Flusha, Pronax, JW are 3x Major winners. Even players like Schneider and Devilwalk, with 1 major each, are in contention given the huge number of current T1 pros with 0 majors. Or the French lineups that won two majors, Smithzz was on one, Kioshima was there for both. Does anyone really think Kioshima should be in the same list of top players as Simple, Niko, Karrigan? Obviously even a player like Karrigan is there because he provides IGL talent that's hard to find in the scene, where S1mple and Niko are there for individual mechanical skill. Where do players like Smithzz, Kio, Schneider, Taco, etc, fall on that scale? IGL? No. Insane mechanical skill? No.
So many more players today without major wins and with very few if any S-tier trophies that would fall behind these players, but does anyone really think someone like Kscerato is worse than them? Or Frozen, Fame, Zywoo, etc?
If your list is purely about achievements and trophies, you cannot have S1mple at the top. If your list includes individual skill level, you can't disregard a player like Twistzz that has a staggering amount of skill but plays a role nowhere close to star fragger being given good spots and favourable trading situations.
You can't have it both ways, either make it a contest of resume and accolades or individual mechanics and skill.
