Agree. I think the original plan was to bring back de_aztec but they realized that the map was hopeless and made a brand new map with the same setting.

i dont think aztec is hopeless and it seems neither did valve if they were originally trying to remake it, it just needs a lot of changes and they probably ran out of time as the map was supposed to ship with broken fang

With ''hopeless'' I meant that it needs too many changes and probably will end up becoming a brand new map anyway from all the changes so you might as well make a completely new map from scratch.
