Detonate, a smaller NA team, will now apparently be withdrawing from the RMR due to being unable to field a team due to some very unfortunate circumstances. EG were the highest placing team at the RMR qualifier to NOT make the RMR. Does this mean they will now be attending the RMR?

they steal spots from promising teams, a little less in this case since its by ranking. but im tired of them getting free spots in big tournaments like esl and blast when there are more promising and hungry teams.

Well in this case they somewhat deserve it because they were the next highest team in the qualifier, they aren't getting beneficial treatment due to their name or partner slot here

According to the rules they would get an invite yeah, because they were the next highest in line. They would need to field Hext though even tho they're trying to replacing him right now which would be...intersting

I THINK they can have one sub right? So if they were replacing him with Refrezh they could register Refrezh as the sub and just use him. Unless you can’t change your sub, in which case they would have to pick between Hext and whatever acadamy player they registered as the sub

I believe you can't have a player that played RMR tournaments/qualifier for the other team. But I'm not completely sure and don't really want to check the rulebook on that. If I remember it right, they're lucky (or not, if they planned to go through and drop HeXT for him, which is why he didn't play qualifiers with Sprout, or that Sprout were auto-qualified for RMR) refrezh didn't play them with Sprout.

It’s definitely no true they’d HAVE to. Every team gets 1 sub. Just not sure if it can be Refrezh or if it would have to be whatever acadamy member they originally registered

So they had 2 players have to drop. 1 can’t get a visa in time. This eas the original player that micks would replace. Then another player found out they were sick and couldn’t attend. Valve rules prohibit 2 subs so they have to drop out

has to be the exact roster that EG had in the qualifier (which includes hext instead of refrezh) and hext has been playing with EG black for at least 2 weeks or so which means that EG would go into the RMR with little practice and not their true full roster, unfortunately no EG black
