Its not like he is gonna watch 1 hour episodes lol. Its 20 minute show.
Just start with first season. If you not like first seasons then go on imdb and watch highly rated episodes of first seasons. For example i still remember and laugh at that NAMBLA episode (iirc it was from early seasons)
Anyway i would say SP at peak around 5/6ish to 13/14.

literally the best show ever. Start from season 1 episode 1. The reason i say start from the beginning is you get to see the evolution of not only the show but the evolution of humor. If you've seen family guy, simpsons, american dad, etc.... and like those shows, you'll absolutely love South Park.

HMm I would start with season5 and watch every episode from there, or watch 20 handpicked episodes> if LOVE IT watch from Season1.
Or just watch the best "125" episodes, skip the rest.

Most seasons are random, some follow a story line.
Early seasons like 1-5ish have a different type of humour and the production was on a much smaller budget.
Seasons 1-4 are the worst ones for sure, it got a lot better 5 onwards.
It's a very good show especially if you follow or are some what up to date with western culture and America.
Suggest you watch the Movie first. That way you'll get a massive dose and can decide if you want to watch the rest of it. I found that movie so funny I had to leave the room cause I was gona wet myself from laughing so much & my Brother had an asthma attack :D
it's best to watch funny clips on youtube. You just can't binge watch that shit now it's almost impossible to do it without getting extremely bored. I've watched every season but i started watching back in 2006.
Alright, Season 1 can feel so cringy at times, but also it has so many great, iconic South Park moments and strong characters that have their backgrounds there. Season 2, the timing improves a lot, and the writing too. Season 3 is fun, but perhaps the most skippable of the early ones, but then The Movie is must-watch. I think seasons 4-6, then 8-10 are ESSENTIAL South Park viewing. Every season beyond that has a couple amazing episodes, then a lot of mid episodes, so just pick the cherries off the top. You know there's always more if you want it.

At some point it becomes current event oriented instead of creative ideas which i personally didnt mind and makes rewatching enjoyable because it reminds you of real events from those times. The recent seasons are related to each other story wise somewhat, some stuff starts carrying over like if someone moves or whatever

Matt and Trey don't give a shit, they said they've been trying to get the show cancelled for ages coz they hate Comedy Central. Any apologies were probably corporate.
Edit: Maybe not comedy central but whatever company they make deals with, it was something to do with censorship I think maybe with the Mohammed stuff, not really sure I just remember hearing them say they push the boundaries more and more every year to see if they can get cancelled.

Insanely good, its on the same level as the Simpsons imo. Start with season 1, it's great right from the start, although it does get quite a lot better a few seasons in. It remains quality for fucking ages as well, I think season 18 it starts following a new formula, where it keeps continuity, and instead of a new story every episode, there is one story that takes place over the entire season. In my opinion, they did it very well for a season or 2, but then around season 20 the quality plummets big time, there are still great episodes sprinkled in but the drop in quality is noticeable. Still, there's at least 18 seasons of great content, very much worth watching.

Actually what I might suggest is that you start watching at around season 6, because that is probably the peak of the show, and once you are hooked, go back and watch the older ones, that's what I did. I started on like 6 or 7, watched everything after, then realised I had like 5 old seasons to watch, it was great.

I started it at season 4, don't regret it.
All seasons are good.all the episodes is kind of its own thing.so you can start when ever you want.
Just watch 6-15 seasons. The early ones are kinda cringe and a bit over the top, and the latter ones are just lame and not edgy, as Trey and Matt became leftist.
