youtube has 4k, it's possible to watch in mobile without an account (twitch isn't), ad block works, there's no twitch chat literally the only disadvantage is there is a 10 secound delay, but idc about that. I always watch in youtube

Issue is that the majority of viewers still come from twitch, and anytime an esport tried to be exclusive anywhere else but twitch they lost 80+% of viewership

I don’t think there’s much trust between organizers (and investors) on one side and the audience on the other. Imagine it as some sort of Nash equilibrium where the organizer don’t have anything to gain by changing only their own strategy. Too much risk. We’re used to watching CS for free online. I guess that the product now is that we’re watching and that the revenue comes from advertisement?
