S1mple was a nonamer who no one really rated highly at 17, NO ONE was calling him to be the #1 player of CSGO because it was all about olof and old cs legends back then
Regardless, who was better at 17 is VERY hard to gauge, NPL is playing in a way harder era nowadays than what 2015 was.

It's useless to compare him to s1mple in the 1st place, my comment wasn't even made to argue for NPL vs S1mple, you just took it as such. You also just forgot that the shit teams were so bad in 2015, T2 was basically just running 1v1 to every situation and didn't even smoke bomb on retakes. Go look at the games.
S1mple played with the unnerfed awp, no strat teams in t2, no professional structure teams and just a generally shit tier scene. Different game.
