there is more nuance to it. leadership cannot be judged just by results and we dont see the whole picture without hearing the comms

Man if we look at the strategies used in the matches and the organization of the players in general we can see that big part of merit goes to the IGL, coaches have part of the recognize aswell but they can't calling during matches at least in lans.
Also Twistzz would be in this list, don't you think so?

the thing with this faze is that I don't really see a dedicated "support" player amongst them. While Twistzz is the generally accepted one there's a lot happening in the server. Same with ENCE. Dycha is their "support" player but he's more of a flex than support. People like Xyp and Perf are much more dedicated in the "support" role, so they're alot more easier to list

karrigan played almost his whole career with best riflers awper and overall individuals. Imagine having ropz twistz rain and broky and still barely making or maybe not even making major. And also most of his trophies he had with most OP Teams like super Faze team back in the days when Niko olof and guardian where in their best shape. So all in all I am saying he is just mostly lucky to be in super teams and be considered as the "best" igl

I would argue that even chrisj was not weak. If you look at 2020 chrisJ he had the crazy 1v5 vs navi and the wolf of wallstreet clips. my flag does check out though.
glaive only proved himself with prime device after device left astralis became tier 3 team,
you can say karrigan always had good players by his side but even so it's not that easy to handle different personalities otherwise aleksib would have made g2 succeed.
this is what makes karrigan the best IGL in csgo, even being bad individually he always managed to make his line ups (danish, early faze, 2017 faze, super team faze, mouz, current faze) being competitive.

He just an unlucky guy like he literally took the reigns in an unstable roster with junior and tried to call the best he can with no prior tier 1 experience still. Everyone jumped at him. When his calling was decent and deagle headshots crisp, he is very young and talented, now that our boy has skyrocketed Complexity to challengers and,particularly to many people's surprise was looking sharp in RMR, future is bright for Jay T the gangsta

His teammates said that he was very liberal about what his comrades should do in the matches like a pug team. But he was very sucessfull as he won 2 major and was mvp on one of them as IGL. I would put him alongside apEX, nitr0, Jame, Boombl4 and cadiaN as honourable mentions but Xizt deserves more

NaVi era has never been semented as such. It's up for debate, even more so than SK/LG. Boom's achievements are relatively less than that of Karrigan, and their time frame is vastly different
