True, but the new overdrive mod they released the other week is insane, light and everything looks great.
i even installed it from my "uninstalled" games to check that "update"
tried hard to find any differences on max-max graphics vs usual max graphics (3080 ti on 1920:1200, got like 45-50 average on max-max).
failed big time to spot any big differences.
so i doubt people will be able to pass "blind test" on it.
so basically its just a cooperation between polaks and nvidia to promote their gpu-s and their game.
and its straight up "-100 fps" feature, at least in cyberpunk.

Some scenarios looks similar, others looks like another gen game, you can totally spot the differences, which are great in some others with more reflections and lights

Btw,@1080 you get 90fps with rtx 4070, eats a lot of fps, but with frame generation still works fine.

ok, there are 2 major points:
1) if some amount of people will pass the "blind test" (which is only true way to get the answer what kind of picture is better), then i will agree. but since such tests can damage income of companies (cuz they show things as it is, no brainwashing adds), such tests are rare in the internet.
2) the graphic changes must be noticeable during normal walkthrough, like you dont specifically search for them. i mean there must be proportional "wow effect" from the amount of fps that dropped. if there will be this proportion, then i will agree.
also, im not sure about fps people get on all 4000 series (except 4090), but it doesnt matter in such game i guess.
UnrealEngine 5 looks insane. I doubt a lot of people will be able to afford the HW required for this to be rendered in real time though...

no amount of internet will change the reality of physics. Signals need to travel and be processed and any amount of ping >0 will be significantly worse than a proper gaming setup at home
I mean I'm sure you enjoy your 1080p 30fps gaming but there's no way any cloud service will bother streaming 1440p at any half decent framerate let alone 4k at 60. Not with the price of bandwidth.

what im saying is that those who play games for advanced graphics are those who play the game for maybe 10-20 hours and quit. you dont get people who play the game for years with just graphics. if the gameplay sucks then the game is bad no matter how it looks.

It looks TOO GOOD. Look at the bricks man.. it looks like EVERY BRICK, is one separate texture.. same with barrels - also, windows have so many details that this is insane. I would really love it to be true (but it's a nightmare to make maps in fashion like this), but i call it "fake" for now, and hope i'm wrong.
Also, i dont see how controls would look like to move head and arms at the same time so smooth like in this video

if you analyze the video u can see some shadows are missing from enemies, ambient occlusion on rocks is missing (also enemy legs), reflections are not perfect, no dust particles etc etc
its not perfectly realistic at all if u pay attention
also theres plenty of game devs analyzing the video on YouTube
also what you see here is photogrammetry+unreal engine 5+Lumen+Nanite+camera filters like fish eye, chromatic aberration, over exposure etc

it's an early gameplay trailer, people have to keep that in mind
but at least it's most likely not gonna be one of those 4k raytraced crowdfunded scam where developpers pull out last minute with all the money and leave you a unity store asset game
but maybe it will be less impressive or different from the trailer, time will tell
outside look very realistic, but inside building, u can see this is the game.
