Good Cheap TV
 |
Germany GermanHLTVAmbassador
Hello fellas, I am currently looking into buying a TV since watching netflix on my computer just isnt as comfy as in bed. Since I am a broke ass student, the TV should be really budget friendly < 400 Euros. The only real requirements I have is 43 ", 4K and it should be wall mountable with a Vesa mount. Do you have any recommendations? Cheers

Samsung 43AU7172. I've had this one for a year and I love the image quality on it.

Thanks for the recommendation. Any major issues you had with it? Like an app missing, or an annoying LED that wont shut off? It will hang right across my bed, so I dont want to have to unplug it every night just to be able to sleep ;)

Nope, none at all. I've actually never had a problem with any flatscreen TV at all.

I stick with Samsung TV's, never had any problems. Netflix is not worth it to be honest, rather save the cash and go see some shows at the theatre.

Going to the cinema will run you 30 quid at this point. If you go for dinner before or after more like 50. So going to the cinema 6 times buys me a cheap tv already haha idk. Plus, last time I had a chick over she kinda complained we couldnt watch in bed, so that is also a factor ;)

I was not talking about the cinema, I was talking about live shows at the theatre. You will be surprised at how well produced shows are these days.

Oh haha, I went to a few musicals which I enjoyed. The local theatres try too hard to, to the point where they alter the original story so hard that I no longer understand what is happening lol

Save money on the "smart" part. Usually the OS and/or store that runs on the TV stops being supported after a few years. Just buy a TV with a decent panel and use Chromecast for your apps.

Aren't they all smart nowadays?

They are all smart but they come with shitty processors. You’d be better off buying an Apple TV 4K or whatever works with android.

I wouldn't go so far as to make bold claims about the quality of processors to start off with. It's a fucking embedded device so the processor doesn't matter that much. They are some revision of Aarch64 processors in the devices and as such they are light on power consumption and will make the stuff they're meant for work. People in general have no concept about processors these days around, except for giving ambiguous statements about shit they don't get.

yeah they are but dont mind the OS that runs on it and the processor they use for it. Just buy a TV with a good quality panel. Use a chromecast/Apple TV/Firestick/NUC/etc. to stream and run software on, it's cheaper and has better suport.

Finding a good cheap TV can be a challenging task, but it is not impossible. It requires a careful balance between quality and affordability. Look for reputable brands that offer budget-friendly options, keeping in mind that the latest features and technologies might be limited in this price range. Prioritize essential factors such as display resolution, screen size, and picture quality. Reading customer reviews and comparing prices across different retailers can help identify the best value for money. check for more tech tips on tecale tecale.com
