Yes wtf? It's a competitive tournament, where teams have equal chances to advance and win. If someone fucks up then it's fair they get punished. What kind of mindset do you have? Do you even understand how tournaments work? or did you just find out?
Are you rich? Have you been served everything on a sliver platter your whole life? Do you know about setbacks and shortcomings? Have you ever NOT gotten what you want? What is wrong with you? It's a fair system that exists in EVERY SPORT.
So if Monte plays Heroic in the Grand final, should Heroic get more chances to win becuase they are the better team? I-I don't get you...did you not know about this? I am completely baffled

I am curious, I was serious there. I mean...I don't get it...how can you complain about a system that has existed for centuries in all sports in the whole world. That being "if you lose/fuck up, you will be out/in a worse position than the one that won". It's fundamental to all sports, right?
So I am fully interested and curious about HOW someone cannot understand that that is fair. Maybe I was to hard on the "What is wrong with you", but the rest are honest questions.

I understand, you're probably right too, because "the whole playoffs are significantly less exciting" is actually only because faze plays heroic in the quarters instead of the semis, which is faze's own fault.

Yes, and it's C9s, G2s, Ences and VPs fault they are not there too. I mean, play better and you deserve to be in the playoffs. In the games that mattered they played bad. I agree that it could've been more exciting teams in the playoffs but now it will be fun to see if it will be Heroic vs Vitality in the Grand Final or will there be some other obscure team.

for sure, especially for G2 they should have won against fnatic but they crumbled. You could blame the bo1s they lost to even get there in the first place, but the fact that they lost to fnatic in a bo3 says enough I think...

it makes sense in the aspect that the 1st seed should get the privilege of playing the weaker 8th seed
but nobody can predict shit like Faze would fuck up so hard that they would play the 2-2- game.
Ideally, Faze should be 3-1 at most..maybe the 4th seed or 5th or something. G2 and NaVi should be here but G2 bottles it to Fnatic who get dumpstered by ITB on Vertigo and NaVi couldn't be trusted to close out a T side on the most T sided map in the pool

please respect the effort the smaller teams put to get here.
GL had to play a closed qualifier, RMR, Challenger stage, Legend stage.
ITB had to play an open qualifier (where you need to top a couple of hundreds of teams), closed qualifier, RMR, Legend stage.
Not all the big orgs could survive an open qualifier. They all started from RMRs with top seeds. What happened after that, it's purely the result of what they played on the servers.
This is one of the most interesting majors, in my opinion. It's getting boring to get the same teams competing over and over again (and there are a few tournaments where you can see just that if you want). Tier 2 teams finally reaped the rewards of constantly grinding on countless online tournaments.
Again, this bracket is just the result of what happened on the servers. Let there be counter-strike! GL & HF!

Honestly, crying about match-ups when it's all according to the tournament results so far, AS IT SHOULD BE, just shows how ignorant big org fans are of the CS:GO scene currently, which is tighter than ever, and that's the reason there are so called T2 teams in the major playoffs. They played better than the teams who are partnered and invited straight to playoffs in every other tournament, and that's because they actually prepared and didn't think it was free easy games :)
clearly not one of the best teams faze got through last change qual, made it 0-2 in legends etc. Heroic deservers an easy first matchup. Have you not watched the major.
