Partnered teams

Lmao, another day of sucking cocks by "tier-1" squads. And you are still thinking these partnered events are good for competetive cs? "Big org will leave cs without guaranteed spots" Can't even qualify for "tier-2" tournament, don't talking about the Major lmao hltv.org/matches/2364352/domination-vs-n.. hltv.org/matches/2364349/big-vs-hotu-esl..

Valve and especially TOs need to rethink their systems for cs2.

What we have now is still better and more competitive than any other games circuit. We can complain but we are lucky for what we have.

It's not because its worse on others games that we have to be satisfied tbh. Even more so because the circuit is getting more and more closed in the recent years and that trend has to be stopped.
2023-05-20 14:54
exactly. closed circuit, more partner teams - fall of CSGO. making it as open as possible is how we grow and expand and make it competitive. The only problem is, humanity are full of sheep riding orgs for NO REASON
2023-05-20 14:54
Sadly valve are not eager to step into the esports side, csgo is super profitable as is, so they just let 3rd parties run it
2023-05-20 15:07
"upper-bracket throw" lol You always get these results in quals

I understand, that there is only one spot so someone won't qualify anyway. But now both of them have lesser chances

plus some teams dont even care because this is lesser tournament and EPL spots secured already, will just make schedule more busy

I mean they should care, cause how they could test smth if it is works. Only on these kind of events. And don't think NiP or BIG wouldn't like to have at least this kind of trophy. Especially for young blood

For teams like ENCE that have yet to win a LAN, yeah they should care because its their only realistic chance to win something

going by our logic eg is tier 1 too cause they are partnered with blast and esl

Yeah, that's exactly what we're talking about. Teams like big and eg wouldn't exist internationally if they didn't pay blast to host them.
2023-05-20 15:02
and i dont remember big being cocky or whatever..

The point of topic was more about how stupid is the system with free ranking points for events where half of teams are actually trash. So scene won't have any progress while these teams are still competing in most of the tournaments which are called "tier-1"

i think people that ACTUALLY follow cs scene will agree that big and nip aren't considered as tier 1 team hltv ranking is fradulent (everyone knows it by now) and basing your opinion on it is the certain team good or bad is just stupid Also if the scene wouldn't progress how many unknown teams made it into a legends stage

I actually agree with you, with all of the words. But some fans will be blind and make threads with blaming everyone except their teams, which are just shit
2023-05-20 14:57
even if these teams are NOT tier1 (which they are not), the fact they get random invites to giant tournaments to get free points just by being them is insanely bad for the scene. The dude is trying to tell you that the reason a lot of these partner teams are on top of the ranking is only because they get instantly invited to group stages of bigger tournament. Scene is progressing because major is OPEN CIRCUIT, 100% fair and equal. if all tournaments would be like that, scene would grow more and more. however, people would cry because they like to be sheep following "famous" orgs

Most of the events have open qualifiers and everyone can qualify if they want and can to; it may have less spots but it is doable for sure. In reference to these weaker teams getting more points by just playing a random tournament it is a issue on hltv side. There were many threads/post to not count these events but nothing changed since forever lol i'd love to say that esl ranking is more reliable but there are many leaks in it too

what do you mean? these big events, partner teams are insta-invited, which leaves like 2 spots for 20 GREAT tier2 teams (who can easily be tier1 if they have more chances) to duke it out in like 10 qualifying stages. if these partner teams are forced to attend open qualifiers, even if all games are bo3, we'd see a lot of them struggle and i think in any event only 50% of them would actually make it through. everyone underestimates how hungry and good tier2 teams are

I do agree that partner teams shouldn't get insta invited to the main competition but they are partners overall and money from them is going to the organising the whole event is a prize pool. I always thought the right way to solve this issue was to just put them into closed qualifier and mix them with teams that got there by open qf (15 partners and 10 open). I never thought how long it would take to play off of those game and if partner teams wouldn't back off due to them paying for a spot that is basically useless. ESL EPL (which i was refering to) has a lot of ways to qualify: - for example MR qualified by winning ESL Melbourne and Katowice winner will have a spot too - Challenger leagues arein every region and winners get a spot too - Open qualifiers in OCE & SA - ESL ranking In conclusion the main issue is on the blast side (Kato, Cologne, Dallas have many online qualifiers too) where getting into a main event for partners team is just "waiting" whilst others have to play thousands online matches just to play blast showdown

yeah the main point i agree with you is the money for organisers big orgs bring, but that's because people bandwagon famous orgs, not good CS :(

valorant scene moment
2023-05-20 15:22
BIG and NIP arent tier1 in your eyes but it is BLAST and ESL eyes. And this is the problem because even if theyre playing shit they get in TIER1 events and get points even if theyre last , which take a spot from a tier2 team that is playing better

they are ''tier 1" cause they pay them a shitton of money lol + 2nd paragraph of what i've said in #28

EG which is invited to Dallas literally cant even beat lvl 10 faceit mix what a joke

EG is the team which everyone accepts is dead anyway. Now it is the time to talk about teams like NiP, OG, BIG and etc. Many people still thinking they have potential to make some results

i mean, teams like NiP are inconsistent, they can win some good matches, meanwhile EG is just a trash and they cant win literally nothing. Of course still partnerships with teams like og, big and nip is a joke

partner teams kinda ruin cs, but its needed for both parties to draw in the viewers. just sucks it has to be this way

Some orgs still having money problem even with all these partnered events and "more views"
2023-05-20 14:51
They just need to give more spots for non partner teams while taking some automatic spots from partner teams. I doubt they would agree with something like that but make 8 teams partner team and bring some point system in those partner teams where they can climb up or down. Rest should be given from qualifiying. Just a suggestion where i thought in like 30 seconds btw so yea its not perfect lol
