Wired mouse in 2023?

do you still use a wired mouse? If so, why not a wireless one?

You can find some good wireless mices for less than 60-70€. For example the MM712 , you just have to search a bit.

Yes I know, I already used wireless mice before, I bought my current mouse cheap to try it out and I have to say I'm really liking it, even though it's wired i prefer it over my previous g703 (i'm using SS prime pro)

Yeah lol. 25 euro is already more than enough for a mouse. People buy those to play CS which has crazy input lag at times, and sometimes sensitivity can just feel like it's changing every second due to lags which in this game are below 500 frames and server var being above 4-5ms

I simply supported the guy who said there is no need to overpay. Literally all the mice provide you basically the same thing, better sensors are not worth it for cs and make no difference. In this game it will feel sharp only when it wants to.

“In this game it will feel sharp only when it wants to.“ Completely untrue in my experience. I was using some wired rog mouse and after switching to the superlight I felt the difference immediately. There are some mouses atm on the market that are just a level above the others, superlight being one of them, and they feel immensely better in cs and in any other game

Bro in my experience it doesn't matter whether it is borrowed from my friend superlight or a shit office mouse from trash can. This game is simply bad. Of course there would be a bit of a difference in games like Doom. But in Cs it is really just like what I said. Game engine is outdated so no wonders its that bad. I have full 400 locked fps. It means it should be super smooth. But no this game is not. Even on faceit when it's anubis servers couldn't handle it and sv was easily spiking to 50ms (basically unplayable). I remember that game where no one could play due to how bad was the input handling.

I don't even get micro stutters anymore, I get macro stutters. Game went to shit. A friend with 11th gen intel CPU and rtx 3060 had issues with performance like wtf. Hope CS2 fixes all of this

Yeah insane bs. Run any game with 30 or 40 fps locked it is smoother than that. I have more fps in doom actually than in cs on low stretched. RX 6700 XT btw and a previous gen r7.

And even with rtx those 200+fps on ultrawide with preultra preset are actually flat, no spikes, input is instant. That's how you make a game

Yeah 25$ is enough if you want a mouse with shit skates, shit sensor that skips, bad wheel, horrible cable, and overall bad build quality. You dont need to be elon musk to afford a good mouse.

I had shit mouse for 3 years straight. No skips no bad wheel. I played Doom and Quake using it. Nothing alike was present. Only in a shitty game(csgo) you have lags. Even on a better mouse it doesn't matter for this game. 1 day your sens can float and another day it will be perfectly sharp

I have a wireless mouse but there's more good options wired if you don't happen to like any of the wireless ones. I would only use wireless when the battery life is good enough like in this case Logitech gives like 150 hrs of active use, no problem with having to recharge too often. I also have wireless keyboard G915 TKL paired the kb + mouse with the same wireless dongle.

If you use shitty BlueTooth you will have these issues. There are different wireless technologies you know, in this case you gotta spend more to get better results that just is the case. Also these wireless gaming mice people talk about don't even use batteries lol.

Thought u meant mice like orochi v2 or g305 where u need to change batteries every now and then, instead of simply charging the mouse with USB-C. Maybe try a wireless product that doesn't use shitty bluetooth. If you buy logitech or razer there will be less delay than wired mice. Wired will never be an issue and is reliable, but wireless is the future whether you like it or not.

I just ignored the difference between a battery and an accumulator. Wireless will ALWAYS be slower than wire. Though difference nowadays is negligible. Wireless will always have huge problems at every aspect.

I built a habit of avoiding technology when I am out walking the dog (which I do a lot), most often leaving my phone back home. IMO, not enough people take a conscious break from their phones. I guess it's like getting rid of an addiction, if you are used to being within 1m of your phone 24/7, but I think people should try it. Anyway, my point is that I save myself from buying earbuds.

Cheap mouse with low latency and with good shape Only wired ones are possible.

Just swapped from g pro x superlight (had problems with wheel) to EC2-C, loving it. With mouse bungee its superior, can't really feel the wire

#65 same for me except now i'm using da v3 pro. it's expensive but worth it. the shape on ec2 is just too goated and as you said ec2-c cable doesn't even feel wired with a bungee. gpx is super overrated but of course this is because it's such a safe shape and works for anyone, so it's never gonna be the perfect mouse for an individual.
2023-05-24 13:28
my superlight double/triple clicking all buttons after 1 year, so i have to use my MX518 again
2023-05-24 13:27
Have used a SteelSeries Kinzu v1 since 2010 so… yeah I’m still using wired…
2023-05-24 13:29
Ye I have a logitech g pro superlight and it is so good definitely worth the money for me. Previously had a razer deathadder mouse and it was good and with a bungee it was no problem at all but still worth getting rid of cables if you have good money situation.

Switched to Logitech G PRO last week, super happy I did. The mouse feels great in my hand and is really responsive. Nice and smooth and light.
2023-05-24 13:43
I use G Pro Superlight. Only switch I'd consider making is going back to something liek Razer V2 Pro (previously had Razzer Viper Ultimate) Have wireless mouse, keyboard and headset. No need for a wire these days and the freedom it gives you (particularly with the headset) is amazing. The ONLY downside to wireless between those 3 peripherals is slightly worse mic quality on the headset, but I can live with that lol.

2023-05-24 15:06
Why would I want a wireless one instead of a wired one? I never have cable problems like some people who manage to get a perfectly fine cable tangled up by just touching it. Wired still seems more trustworthy to me than anything wireless.

razer too heavy?
2023-05-26 15:04
Because whether true or not, wired connection > wireless. I also have my computer on all day while I work and then night while I game, so I don't want to waste my time charging or changing batteries. Plus the wire doesn't get caught on anything and it goes behind my desk so it's out of sight. No downsides to wired mice.
2023-05-24 20:28
still wired, don't need wireless lol
2023-05-24 21:11
i've never tried wireless, but i just don't see the appeal, i've used the same wired mouse for years, buying replacements of the same one any time i had faults. concerned about battery life and connectivity issues of wireless and the cable has never caused me any issues or bother

tried wireless glorious model O after using model O, figured out I needed a heavier mouse, got wired Razer Deathadder Essential and been using it for about 6 months minimum probably going to get a deathadder v2 wireless when i have the money because the cable has been annoying lately, but its still somewhat heavy
2023-05-24 21:26
Wires have never been a problem when it comes to mice. Currently using EC3-C as i have small hands and it fits me perfectly. There are no real benefits to use a wireless mouse if a wire has never been an issue to you. If you find yourself in some way handicapped because of a wire then a wireless option might be worth considering. Other than that, you’ll just be paying a lot more for a product that tries to fix a problem which for most people doesn’t exist. Better save it and spend it towards something else
2023-05-24 21:32

went from Zowie to G Pro wireless when that first came out got the double clicking deal a few months into using it, i dont like the small thumb buttons on the side i like how Zowie's feel, bought another Zowie went with the new ZOWIE S2-C with para cord. i have no issue with cables. wired feel nice but its the stupid issues like the double click and charging and possible random connection issues that make wireless annoying. and i haven't found one that can compete with Zowie feel and buttons and scroll wheel.

can't be bothered with charging or having additional usb device, also with my current setup I don't have issues with either cable or table impairing the movement
2023-05-26 17:32
yea i still use those
2023-05-26 17:33
if you have a table where you can route the cable then it's the same shit. if you have a bungee then cable is never an issue. I do not want to bother with charging the mouse, I'll never move it from my PC so there's no reason. I say that as a wireless headset user, just makes no sense for mouse unless you are traveling or on a laptop. I get that some crammed setups may be better with wireless but it's more of a useless "upgrade" than anything else, at least in my eyes. I made my own spider because I've made my own desk as well, I've never ever noticed a cable.
