Brazilian is the true language. I saw news in Portugal of people complaining that kids are speaking Brazilian portuguese instead of the Portugal, with the African Portuguese speakers population increasing even more the "pure" portuguese language will soon by a shadow of the past. Also, even games and tv shows are preferring to use the goat Brazilian version.

games and tv shows always preferred to use Brazillian Portuguese because of one very simple reason - there's just way more people in brazil also, you don't seem to grasp the concept of languages and dialects

I know what a dialect is and was most making fun of it. But what you may not realize is that the Brazilian portuguese is evolving very quick. My mother's family is Portuguese they are from the city of Maia and I traveled last year, sometimes we had trouble to understand each other and to be honest it was a strange feeling. I wouldn't be surprise if in 50 years or less Brazilian Portuguese become it owns language or the people from Portugal fully adopt the Brazilian version because of the larger population. Other way out is making deals like they do with the orthographic writing.

I've seen way too many Brazilians saying that, idk what the hell they saying to you all in the media, but the same could be said about the USA and UK, yet they're both still English. Naturally, different slang and some different words might be used, but it's fundamentally still the same language and that will remain like that not for decades, but for centuries at least.

You are wrong. Brazilian portuguese is evolving into different structural patterns, for exemple when I talked with my mothers aunt we had trouble to make long talk that required details, I'm not talking about slang or anything like this, it was a normal chat. Is not me or the Brazilian media saying this, it is the portuguese media talking about it, most the topics related to difference between pt-br and pt are from Portugal.

That's quite literally the same about English. Drop someone from the UK onto the south of the USA and if both spoke like they normally speak, they would have a hard time communicating. Most of the topics coming from the portuguese media about kids speaking Brazillian Portuguese is because parents hate it due to, mostly, xenophobia. And I really shouldn't have to explain why.

lil bro thinks he is in a competition cuz he is one of those who take the gold joke from other brazilians serious and now he feels the need to conquer portugal or some shit, so cute he cant even hide it... and maybe even his dads family have portuguese ancestors so he just dumb and is being a hypocrite

of course you say that lol, you've barely been exposed to European Portuguese, that's why you find it odd, for me and all other Portuguese people it sounds completely normal. also, the dubbing scene in Portugal is mostly exclusive to children's movies/series as we simply just don't dub the rest, we've always added subtitles.

well, if you know some words in danish you probably know them in norwegian and swedish as well. danish is like norwegian/swedish but with a heavy german-type accent when you speak when it comes to written danish, norwegian or swedish, they are almost identical, especially the first 2. the only difference I notice is that we use different words in specific situations and can put them in different order. but the vocabulary itself is very similar
