It will never help you be better at the language other than refining your motor-skill to reproduce an overly-precise oral flurry as comfortable as a fall down a mountain. The only point of tongue-twisters is that they're intentionally tumultuous collections of syllables that barely form a coherent thought, put together in an obtuse assembly only to see how ugly of an expression is even possible. It's the linguistic equivalent of the scientific meme, "We were so busy seeing if we could, we never bothered to ask if we should."
