reliable and good for holding a site
M4A4, 20 bullets not enough for holding site as CT
M4A4 ofc, it actually forces you to be a better aimer, and is more "crispy" than A1-S
a4 is better but a1 is cheaper and you can buy it much more often. So I'll have the a1 on and ask for a teammate to drop me their a4 to save money
A4 - better noise, more ammo, crisp aim
m4a4, more bullets are good for me, because I like to wallbang so much:D Ofc it's harder to aim, but you start to adapt to it
m4a4 it has better skins and more bullets
I have always used a1 so that, i suck with A4 and cuz im noob
M4A1s ever since price change. The lower price is a big benefit, if counted along with fact that it have it's own advantages over M4!
i don't think either is better, its situational. it depends on what map and what site you are holding.
on overpass where I play A the m4a1-s is objectively better, but on inferno I prefer the m4a4 on both sites.
m4a1-s because it has no bullet tracers so you can spam through smoke without the enemy knowing where you are
A4 because I just feel it better than A1-S
I hope they make both available to buy in game in cs2
a4 much more reliable after the a1-s nerfs
20bullet mags screwed me over so much
For me it's situational. I change guns between maps and positions that I play, but I like A4 more. Also, when I feel like my aim is not on point, I switch to A1 since it is easier to control and have at least that one kill in a round.
m4a1 because I have one with 2014 Katowice craft
depends on positions, when im playing rotations or other long range i prefer the a1 because theres not really a risk of getting overwhelmed by 5 players
anything thats closerange i prefer the a4
switched to m4a4 after a long time of using a1-s, but if i could i would sometimes buy a1-s to go for lurk plays or plays that require no tracers, thus i would like to be able to buy any m4 at any time.
Comments and poll results doesnt check out
a4 cause skin and it feels better than the a1 for some reason
M4a1, I unboxed a golden coil in my second case ever when is was little. I kept on using a1 even when it was bad because of it.
a4 on all maps, a1 on inferno and sometimes on nuke
a4 because it feels so much better in mid range
M4A4 rn because idk, training for if I get a howl someday. Usually use the one I got the "best" skin for. I got awesome skins for M4A1-S but I'm feeling more like I wanna play A4 rn
A1-S because you can see from all the tournaments that it's A LOT more used by pros and I trust them to know better. Doesn't really matter to me personally which weapon I use, but if pros think it's better to use A1-S (no matter if it's personal preference, cheaper price, no tracers, easier to use or whatever) I can't go wrong in using it myself.
Imagine wanting to double eco for slightly better gun
There is only 1 good answer - Valve should add both to buy menu.
A1S, i spam smokes very often, also the extra 200 is very useful since I like to setup teammates with util
a1-s I came back from a long break and have to get used to using weapons first, then I'll work on M4A4 and play with it since in CS2 tracers won't be that big of a deal.
A1-S since I play hybrid role + I am the kind of guy who saves the $$$
depends on the map ngl, I like using a1 on vertigo and mirage for example and a4 on ancient and inf, it really comes down to playstyle and the kind of engagements one takes
I have always used the m4a4 never switched to a1-s ever during any meta, Tried using a1-s many years ago its not for me , M4a4 always felt comfortable to me.
i checked stats of best players on major and everyone uses a1s, so i stick with it.
If you got bad aim then a1s. m4 is better if your aim is good.
A1-s is now worse than it was before all those damage changes when it had 25/75 bullets.
Srsly they should just revert all those stupid changes and make it 30 ammo in mag and see how it goes cuz with the changes to smokes in source 2, i see absolutely no reason to play a silenced m4 that is worse literally everywhere
A1-S at main because of skin. m4a4 at smurf because of skin.
A1 because of my skins and it's good for long range
But sometimes I just play M4A4 because it's more reliable and feels nice especially in medium to short range
I play with silencer just because of $$$. I play soloq and I buy as much as I can, even with 3550 I can buy and win the round + I can buy dgl+Kevlar always too,no need to save . But if you learn the spray patter then the A4 is the better gun in my opinion. Faster fire rate can often save you
A4 feels so much better to use over the A1-S imo, so I use the A4.
silencer makes me feel more tacticool, no need for a bigger mag
