m4a4 it has better skins and more bullets
I have always used a1 so that, i suck with A4 and cuz im noob
i don't think either is better, its situational. it depends on what map and what site you are holding.
on overpass where I play A the m4a1-s is objectively better, but on inferno I prefer the m4a4 on both sites.

Idk why it's good that you have to choose. In 1.6 you could remove the silencer anytime you wanted depending on the situation. That's how it should be

M4a1, I unboxed a golden coil in my second case ever when is was little. I kept on using a1 even when it was bad because of it.
a4 on all maps, a1 on inferno and sometimes on nuke
a4 because it feels so much better in mid range
A1-S because you can see from all the tournaments that it's A LOT more used by pros and I trust them to know better. Doesn't really matter to me personally which weapon I use, but if pros think it's better to use A1-S (no matter if it's personal preference, cheaper price, no tracers, easier to use or whatever) I can't go wrong in using it myself.

Almost every single pro player has to change M4's between maps because of the possition they play. Same about FPL, They have to disconnect from the server, change for M4A4 just because he's holding A site on Nuke and he needs extra bullets.
Those guns are balanced right now and Valve will add both m4's in buy menu in Cs2, 99% sure about it

I disagree, you should make a choice before map is playing what gun you should be using. It removes skill element if both options are there and you don't even have to think

Luckily Valve doesn't give a fvck about random people tips, thats why mostly pro's got access to CS2 and most of them want both m4's in buy menu so it will probably happen
A1S, i spam smokes very often, also the extra 200 is very useful since I like to setup teammates with util
a1-s I came back from a long break and have to get used to using weapons first, then I'll work on M4A4 and play with it since in CS2 tracers won't be that big of a deal.

depends on the map ngl, I like using a1 on vertigo and mirage for example and a4 on ancient and inf, it really comes down to playstyle and the kind of engagements one takes

If you got bad aim then a1s. m4 is better if your aim is good.
A1-s is now worse than it was before all those damage changes when it had 25/75 bullets.
Srsly they should just revert all those stupid changes and make it 30 ammo in mag and see how it goes cuz with the changes to smokes in source 2, i see absolutely no reason to play a silenced m4 that is worse literally everywhere

A1 because of my skins and it's good for long range
But sometimes I just play M4A4 because it's more reliable and feels nice especially in medium to short range
I play with silencer just because of $$$. I play soloq and I buy as much as I can,even with 3550 I can buy and win the round + I can buy dgl+Kevlar always too,no need to save . But if you learn the spray patter then the A4 is the better gun in my opinion. Faster fire rate can often save you
A4 feels so much better to use over the A1-S imo, so I use the A4.
silencer makes me feel more tacticool, no need for a bigger mag
