Bro just like in Slovakia. It's the aftermath of socialism abused by capitalism. Good job leaving, I may do the same after uni.
2023-05-28 20:52
it is any perfect country in the world?
2023-05-28 20:52
Or you can try to fix ur country from inside. Every place sucks for average worker. You need to be success if you really want to enjoy life.
My family is average income family in Finland and it sucks here too, so i would assume that its not really good anywhere. Different issues obviously but still problems.
2023-05-28 20:54
One thing Lithuania has better is education better then bulgaria or romania
2023-05-28 20:56
Same as here in Latvia, but we have more vatniks

Moved to the UK 12 years ago. No regrets, not a single time in my life I said 'Ah, I wish I stayed'. Ironically, I am the Russian speaking Lithuanian lol. One of the reasons I moved - I am a cosmopolitan, not by choice. I am from a Russian speaking family, but been born in Lithuania and it sucks balls, because in Lithuania everyone called me a Russian, but if I'd go to Russia (which I did a couple times), people there called me Lithuanian. So I literally have 0 national identity and neither Lithuania nor Russia felt like home, especially culturally. I have yellow teeth, like pubs, cook shitty eggs and bacon for breakfast and call it a cuisine etc., so I fit right in. But long story short, don't hesitate to move anywhere if wherever you are feels odd, cause in the end of the day you can always return. I did and never will. I like Lithuania and the older I get the more I appreciate it, but no f way I am going to return and live there, especially now with all the challenges you've mentioned.

Lithuania is probably worse than Estonia, but every time I go to Estonia I get those same vibes you described.
Food there is getting expensive as fuck, some is even more expensive than here in Finland while we have 2-3x higher salaries. Imagine how much food alone takes from your salary holy shit.
Every time I have gone to Tallinn I literally hear more people speaking Russian than Estonian I can't even imagine how depressing that is.
People say that Finns are emotionless and cold but wait til you go to Estonia. No matter where you are, a restaurant or just a grocery store, the customer service is terrible. They are so emotionless and it's like they are literal robots, and this is coming from a Finn. They can't even hold eye contact or even do a fake smile. Actual next level. And I wish I was making it up but this has been my experience every single time.
But the reality is there are still much much worse countries than the Baltics, they ain't even that bad.
2023-05-28 21:35
Only good country in the world is Denmark (birthplace of cadian who is da 🐐 no 🧢 and the future president of Denmark)
2023-05-28 21:42
it is what it is
repeat for next years, decades centuries
2023-05-28 21:46
Poland is not much better, if any, and yet I am not complaining. The world is a really dark place, and it could've been much, much worse.
You can make a decent living here as an average worker. It won't be as good as western-europeans, they will have newer cars and nicer homes, but so what ? You will own a car and an apartament as well, doesn't matter if it's inferior.
You seriously don't have to be a multi-milionaire to be happy with your financial situation.
2023-05-28 22:04
Do you wanna to swap places? I can guarantee that you will miss your beloved country in 1 week.
2023-05-28 22:06

2023-05-29 06:56
I doubt what you wrote about prizes. It‘s crazy here in austria.
2023-05-29 08:58
It's the not country's fault. It is yours and you cannot blame anyone but yourself.
You are educated enough to use the internet, wealthy enough to afford electricity & water and also know good English. Therefore it is not fault of Lithuania, it is your fault and solely yours.
2023-05-29 11:10
It is certainly better than being born in a third world country….
2023-05-29 11:55
To all the westoids out there - how far does nepotism run in your country? Is it widely spread, do people react to it? Are the guys fired?
Nepotism is widely spread in former soviet republics & people don't even bother hiding it. In my country every politician has their family & friends on a public payroll, most of them doing like 2-5x more than avg. salary. This would not be such a big problem if they would do their jobs, but they're not even trying, putting people in charge with no UNI degree & low iq. Nowadays it became so spread people don't feel offended anymore, 0 reactions from public opinion. Noone cares, literally
2023-05-29 13:43
Come to Brazil, very loyal and friendly people
2023-05-29 14:34
that's why the Livonian Crusades happen
2023-05-29 16:32

2023-05-29 17:35

2023-05-29 17:38
