Are there any examples of a player getting kicked from a T1 team and reviving his career in a T2 team?

uh then by that logic glave is a tier 1 igl, JT is a tier 1 igl, whoever is OG igl is also tier 1 igl

We are talking about teams, not players. Just because someone is in a tier 1 team doesn't necessary make them a tier 1 player (or good enough for tier 1). There is a difference between being a tier 1 IGL and being an IGL in a tier 1 team and those who you mentioned are more IGL's in tier 1 team than tier 1 IGL's if you know what I mean. What do you think is tier 1?
2023-05-30 01:55
nexa is on og
2023-05-30 19:08
I would say being part of an partner team (especially if it's partners with both Blast & ESL) means you are in a tier 1 team. it doesnt lol
2023-05-30 02:06
15 replies
So what do you count as tier 1 teams? Imo even if you are underperforming, your team (or org) is still tier 1 with a lot of opportunities and support staff. Like for example just because Astralis has been pretty bad for last couple of years I would still count it as a tier 1 team. Or same with NIP. Btw there is no clear definition for what is tier 1 or tier 2 etc.
2023-05-30 02:11
14 replies
there is huge difference between ORG and TEAM and just bcs org has money(for example EG) it doesnt mean that they have t1 team bcs EG is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from that... for me t1 teams are contenders. teams that are threat and aspirants to win actually. not to attend bcs of orgs money. calling teams t1 bcs of partnered spots is literally dumb lol
2023-05-30 02:32
13 replies
so tier 1 is top 5 teams?
2023-05-30 06:55
1 reply
i would say like 6 teams atm yea(for me). but thats not the point tho. point is that team isnt t1 just bcs of slot...
2023-05-30 10:07
I would say tier 1 is more like teams that are often in play offs of big/elite events. Lets say imo MOUZ are tier 1 team they are often in play offs and can play against top teams but I dont really see them as some contenders for winning whole event
2023-05-30 07:19

Mouz t1???????? Would say ence but okay.
2023-05-30 07:41
5 replies
Or ENCE but I would say mouz as well if you look at their Results they made a lot of play offs and often play close bo3s or even win with teams like FaZe vitality etc
2023-05-30 22:07
4 replies
ever since ropz left mouz has been pretty shit ngl. Cant really consider them T1 anymore. had a good stint at the major though. Or can you tell me a T1 event that they went far in.
2023-05-30 22:43
3 replies
they are worse but I would still say not that bad (from the beginning it was) Cologne 22 - 5th-6th EPL 16 - 5th-8th Rio major - 3rd-4th EPL 17 - 5th-8th not that bad considering just Katowice and IEM Rio they did bad now major but if you would say thats not t1 then you would have to say Vitality were t2 like last 2 years thats just my opinion
2023-05-31 12:21
2 replies
Ey disagree seeing when seeing their tournament results. Vitality looked has more deep runs getting 2nd places and everything while mouz seemed to only get playoffs barely. And only got to finals in small events. While vita won small events and got to finals in bigger events. And i think mouz 0-3 at the major was absolutely terrible.
2023-05-31 13:43
1 reply
Also think thats the difference betweeen T1 and T2 being able to make finals/win big tournaments and just always being the favourite for the small ones. Even looking at those results apart from rio i feel like they did not beat alot of good teams.
2023-05-31 13:45
well that t1 definition is only my point of view. if you think that play off teams should be considered as t1 im fine with it. anyway no way that teams should be t1 just bcs they bought slot
2023-05-30 10:08
1 reply
No no partner teams are not t1 for sure :D
2023-05-30 22:06
This is what I mean, there's no actual definition of what is tier 1. You have your opinion and I have mine. If I would take recent performances also into consideration (with resources & partner spots) then you could remove from tier 1 EG, COL, BIG and OG, but I would still consider the rest (like Astralis) tier 1. I just separate the players from teams and just because some teams don't have enough tier 1 players (good enough for tier 1), doesn't mean they aren't a tier 1 team.
2023-05-30 11:32
1 reply
Yes there is no official definition of tiers BUT teams actual performance should be big factor in all of them... And not just buy a slot and voila you are t1 team
2023-05-30 13:00
lmao look at me straight in the eyes and tell me big and eg are tier 1 cs teams lmao
2023-05-30 07:07
1 reply
Guess I just separate players from the teams meaning just because a team doesn't have enough tier 1 players to be competitive doesn't mean it isn't tier 1. If you want to remove the worst partner teams then sure maybe BIG, EG, COL & OG aren't tier 1 currently, but rest are.

kicked, no, but jks was tier 1 (renegades 2019, arguably) then 100 thieves + col (tier 2) and then faze/g2 , tier 1. You can mention aleksib if you consider OG tier 2, which is reasonable.

I have a great example, which people forgets and it's allu: ENCE -> NIP/MOUZ -> ENCE -> FaZe -> Optic -> ENCE -> JANO And you have to remember that allu joined back to ENCE March 2018, so it took like a year or so, before they started to have good playoff runs.

Hobbit is a prime example

Hobbit, Zeus are the best examples. I think jks also counts, considering the shape of coL before disband. With sdy, acor, nawwk, styko, jkaem it's possible but not quite yet imo.
