At this point you should accept that reinstalling the game is the only way to go.
restart the pc and open steam as administrator
If I get that, I normally just restart cs. Maybe restart steam and/or your pc, else I would be clueless.
restart pc sometimes work
Had the same issue like 3 hours ago, tried everything but what worked was reinstalling the game.
I'm having the exact same issue at the moment and all my mates are too I wonder if it's just something on the server's end
loads of people having it right now, including myself, already tried verifying game files, restarting steam, restarting pc etc.
seems to be a wider problem
i just open like a normal match against bots and play for like 5-10 minutes, after the match is over its just fine to play
I've had that issue appear for a couple of days. I've done a lot of things - changed my name, my profile pic, cleared cache, fixed the folder where I have my cs installed in from the settings menu on steam, went offline/online mode - some of these worked just once or for a couple of hours, but the problem came back. But what finally worked, since I haven't had that issue again, I replaced a DLL file in the steam folder.
I just had the same exact issue
tried verifying game files 3 times same thing
btw which windows you're on ?
It looks like many of us have the same problem rn
Same thing going of for 30 minutes now. Restarted twice. 3 times verify. Re-installing atm. FFS
... Re-installed and STILL NOT WORKING.
I had this error. There is a reddit thread with a ton of troubleshooting steps. Restarting PC, steam services, reinstalling didn't fix it for me. The issue was my PC's time needed to be resynched and then it worked. Go to Date &Time settings in windows and click sync now. Maybe that works. If not it will be one of the first 5 reddit threads that pop up when you search. GL
this happened to me a few days ago for the first time too. I repaired game twice restarted pc and ran steam/cs as admin none of it worked.
logged back in the next day and it was randomly working again...
Log out of your steam account and log back in. Works every time for me
I think everyone has this problem right now. It is global for all the players, so Valve need to fix it.
Finally working. Tried some random sequence of verify, exit steam, restart steam. Probably just placebo stuff.
This worked for me in this exact order:
1. restart Steam
2. verify integrity of game files (right click on cs in library -> properties -> local files)
3. clear Steam download cache (Steam -> Settings -> Downloads)
4. Launch steam and go play
1. Restart CS
2. Restart Steam
3. Logout and restart Steam
4. Restart PC
5. Verify files again
I have had all of these work in the past. Otherwise just gonna have to reinstall
verify again, had this today and it only worked after 3rd or 4th time
Valve unable to explain anything
uninstall game, reinstall, if that no work then uninstall pc, then reinstall
Hope this helped! :D
Run steam as a administrator then check csgo files its worked for me
i waited couple days and problem was gone.
verify game files and restarting does the trick 99% of the time
happened to me yesterday,
after verifying, you must not forget to restart steam client then you're good to go.
It goes away after some time. No amount of verifying game files, restarting the PC, reinstalling the game will help.
-Restarting Steam and PC didnt work
-Resetting modem didnt work.
-Verifying game files didnt work.
-Launching Steam as admin didnt work.
the only thing that worked for me was to watch a live match for a couple of minutes (it was a hvh) and then the problem was gone.
happened to my friend yesterday and nothing worked, well he didn't reinstall, but tried relogging in, verifying files and idk what else. which fucking sucks when we decided to play cs, which we play like 3 times a year on average. had to go back to valulrant
I get this 100% of the times I play offline map to practice smokes, flashes etc. After that when I queue for MM i get that problem.
My solution is always close the game, verify integrity, and then restart the game. If that doens't work, I just restart steam. Always works for me.
the issue started like 2 weeks ago. The solution is pretty much:
- Exit CSGO
- Exit Steam fully (no steam process)
- Run Steam as Administrator
- Launch CSGO
im bumping this, cuz i had same issues since today. Fixed thanks to you guys.
thanks for all the good advice, beautiful people.
enter community sv and stay for 5 mins then renter the game
Do you think it's a dumb stereotype that Germans are cheaters?
Don't waste your time reinstalling everything, it's most likely the VAC backend servers that are fucked...
What works for me sometimes (but idk if just luck) is to go to steam page, go offline, close steam, launch the game and turning online again.
But again, last time it happened to me, nothing could be done and just wait it should be good at some point.
and there we go again ;((((
got the same problem. its also "unable to sync with cloud".
CS2 incoming )))))))
just started happening to me aswell
usually i just delete download cache, but it's not working now
so everyone here has the same problem
what is happend guys ? cs2 today ? xD
this shit un-fixeble
uninstall this crap beta mid 2023 cs go game 10 year coin shines at most
PLAY DM WITH BOTS FOR 5 MINUTES, FIXED IT FOR ME
i'm having this happen again today, sik game
Works for me most of the time, I exit the game and relaunch it from system tray, sometimes it takes 2-3 attempts but I don't have to verify the files or reinstall the game. Fairly quick fix, might work for some of you.
I had a flight joystick plugged in with it's own software giving the same issue, unplugged it and it was fine
Don't verify game files, don't reboot PC and for sure don't reinstall, it will come back eventually.
i dont know if this have something to do with that but it seems like steam got ui update today at least i got that update today not sure if it was available before or not
i did all things u ever think about . nothing have workd only one , it's is leaving it as it is and go back after a while , some how gets fixed .
The solution is closing the game and Steam completely. Then, run steam as administrator. Then, press play CS:GO in the steam library
