So basically polish referee Szymon Marciniak was supposed to be the referee in champions league final. Many people have respect for him because he does his job very well.
However UEFA find out that Marciniak was present on business meeting which was organised by Slawomir Mentzen, right wing polish politician and businessman (who has 11% votes in Poland and is legal politician). Meeting was not even about politics but strictly about business .
Because of that UEFA decided that they do not support right wing politics and he will not be the referee in UCL final anymore.
This is some real absurd. Do you imagine such thing if Marciniak was on a meeting with left wing politician? That sort of thing would not have happened.
UEFA is a real joke so is western world becoming slowly.

a mafia is not a political entity and is neither right wing or left wing, it acts situationally based on where they see the most gain and profit. it's not in denial of anything, it's the reality. perhaps they tend to support right wing politicians more because they are usually the most corrupt?

Basicly all of it its wrong and added by Italian media. Imaginary stuff.
First of all, he was just a guest there.
Second of all, this "party" is most conflicted "party" in Poland. Pretty much every member have different views on everything. Some people love them because of their tax ideas but thats it.
Calling this party "far right wing" is like calling HLTV "far right wing" just because one or two guys made right wing threads in the past

I see, thanks for the info. All of the quotes are copied from their English wiki article, with the first two apparently being from their program, but the article also mentions that they've undergone changes recently, including a name change.
I've assumed it was something along the lines of Kotleba's party in Slovakia, but doesn't really seem so. More towards libertarians with a rather very conservative new leader? Idk.

Still, there are far-right-leaning parties all around Europe (the one I was referring to, for example) that use similar rhetoric to usually appeal to the older/racist generations by means of fear-mongering and over-exaggeration. The second point from their program made me think of the party I mentioned above, that's why I thought of them to be quite similar, but that is most likely not the case. Thanks for your input.
