I disagree with the very premise that people should retire at their peak just so people can never see them fall off. It makes no sense. This is a job for them, they're not going to quit just for your satisfaction. They have things called bills they have to pay, you see. The most logical thing to do is to keep playing and get paid as long as you can

He could probably retire now if he wanted to with his earnings but some people don't seem to understand that pros actually enjoy their job so want to ride it out as long as they can.

Agreed. glaive probably enjoys the grind, he wants to see if he can lead the team back into tier 1 again. That sort of mentality of "I can win" is not compatible with thinking stuff like "I should quit while I'm ahead". People just don't seem to understand that.

Bro it's been 3 years. He is using starts of 2019 in current meta. Actually it's astralis management that's is shitty for giving these guys contract extension. How can you keep xyp9x till 2025, when he can't aim for head and always goes for spray.

Sure, but that's probably the management's fault just to be clear, I don't even like astralis or glaive that much I just think the OP's idea of "retire before he ruins his legacy" is absurd
