You have language similar to polish but in cyrilics alphabet, you prefer to speak cyrilics or latin? I personally wanted to learn cyrilics but found out that I don't give a shit, I know polish, english and more I learn it won't have anything in common with CIS countries

wdym by "prefer"? Their language is using cyrillics lol. The same about Polish and latin

in order to communicate on hltv in Ukrainian, we write 9 as 'ya' in our language, it's really hard communicating in latin

that's why cyrillic is more convenient
2023-06-03 00:41
Just use Lithuanian alphabet or something. "Ja hačiu tobi skazati, tšio/ščio". I don't speak Ukrainian, so not sure how to pronounce, but you can definitely make it work. Usually letters are pronounced differently in each country like "J" Northern Europe it's as "ye" other places as "G"
2023-06-03 11:41
I mean technically you can learn Ukrainian using latin, but you can't write it without Cyrlic knowledge so what's the point of learning how to communicate in Ukrainian if you can't write in Ukrainian in my opinion if you learn language you should learn both the cyrlic and the Ukrainian language (its better to have complete knowledge over language then just some parts)

ukrainian is ukrainian no matter what writing system you're using (same for any language), it's just that ukrainian cyrillic is the most widely used and is the best fit for the language

Its just an alphabet lil bro. A way of expressing sounds with glyphs You can "speak" polish with cyrillic just like you can "speak" romanian with cyrillic.

The fact that people seem to pull this idea of their hat is kinda weird, had we wanted to take West Ukraine we would have done so long ago. But instead we are helping Ukrainians at this and we will keep helping. It just seems illogical at this point.

You're simply helping them weaken the Russians to a point in which the Russians won't even try to go for Western Ukraine so you'll be able to grab it for free. It's not like they have a chance to win this war as a whole.
