hey faceit gave me 1000 points last week, i was very happy because i want to change my faceit nickname. I tried to change the name but usernames were already taken, so I decided to wait a day or two to decide which new nickname I wanted now i have just 280 points, like before they gave me the 1000. rip

I did this and it worked but I had a "good" reason. My IG name was Capta1n since I started playing Source back in the day. Only when I signed up for faceit the name was already taken and thus i just used smth like capta1ncs or smth like that. Looked up the account which had the right name and it had been inactive for like more than 5 years (and almost 0 matches) at that point so I messaged them asking if they could change it which happened.

what happened to the inactive account ? I am in a similar situation actually they can't just delete or change the name of an account just because the guy is inactive ? i think that would be a weird thing to do

I can't find it anymore so i assume they either changed the name themselves or just made it so that the account doesnt show up until the owner logs in again. Idk if they can just do it but the fact is that it happened with me so there must be a thing in their terms of service that makes them able to do it.
