This might seem rude but maybe don't do leg day the day before school starts???
2023-06-04 18:56
just wait for the 2nd day after training hahaha, tomorrow wont be that bad belive me
2023-06-04 18:56
it’s gonna be there no matter what you do. Just accept it and go about your day like normal. Enjoy resting your legs but don’t be lethagic and sit around.
2023-06-04 19:05
has nothing to do with leg day in specific but with recovery. it will take a while for ur muscle to get used to this. supplementing with magnesium, beta- alanine and citrulline can help to recover but a good night sleep, a good high protein meal will do the rest.
2023-06-04 19:06
A good night sleep + magnesium + drink a lot of water (really a lot)
2023-06-04 19:07
After leg workout do exercise bike for 5 min atleast and stretch. No leg pain next day
2023-06-04 19:13
if you just started out you will just have stumps for legs for a week there's nothing to do about it, it's your own fault. What you should do is go incredibly lightly the first time (like literally don't even challenge yourself remotely in the gym). And then go back after a couple days. If you went all out first day you are done bro. Gl. Legs will return to normal function in like 2 weeks, you will not be able to walk on stairs.
2023-06-04 19:15
i recently was forced to join the gym too
didnt feel pain in legs at all surprisingly from the very start
mostly arms and neck gone after 2nd session
2023-06-04 19:16
Take cold shower men, it works for sore muscles
2023-06-04 19:17
Just try to stretch out the legs and walk as much as possible, and your legs will recover naturally
2023-06-04 19:24
Sleep well , hydration and good nutrition to recover , as simple as that
2023-06-04 19:30
you gotta stretch after the exercises
2023-06-04 19:31
DOMS is inevitable but can be reduced with proper nutrition and diet. Usually DOMS peaks around 48 hours.
2023-06-04 19:37
youll survive just sleep well
2023-06-04 19:41
Yeah next day after tomorrow will be even more hell to sit.. enjoy muhahaha
2023-06-04 19:44
Protein, stretch, light cardio like walking, sleep
When you overdo the volume when starting it's like getting a tan without SPF after not seeing the sun for half a year
2023-06-04 19:44
if you have just recently started training, go light in the beginning even if you feel like you could push harder, your body gets time to adjust to being pushed to its limits and you can safely focus on technique. for example, if your movement allows you to practice deep squats, you can do them with just the bar, get the gist and rack up the volume when you're more confident.
your everything is sore in the start but it's all about getting used to it! find the optimal training frequency, the rest your body needs, the amount of food you need and basics like that. supplements have a time and a place but you'll hardly need more than protein, and not even that depending on what you eat. be patient, it's the most important thing
2023-06-04 19:51
take ice cold shower, always helped me after leg a good leg day, you can even do it the next day if u care about the science that says taking ice baths/showers same day as workout can reduce a small percent of muscle growth, up to u tho
2023-06-04 19:54
if your sore tomorrow and struggling to walk, you've over trained your legs.
depending on your split and im presuming your natural, i would pretty much guarantee your volume for legs is too high.
2023-06-04 19:58
Dude I did legs for the first time in a while 2 days ago, and I'm still in so much pain
2023-06-04 20:39
Very little to do, some bro-advice has minor positive effects but it's mostly just pain you have to suffer. Gl bro and stick with it so you don't have to go through it again :D
2023-06-04 20:46
Don't focus on legs when starting out, it's pointless anyway
2023-06-04 20:48
watch Tom Platz on youtube
2023-06-04 21:33
keep going
after a couple of sessions, it won't hurt the day after, usually
2023-06-04 21:35
Warming up, stretching, nutrition and hydration and some movement like walking on the treadmill after to get the blood flowing again will help
2023-06-04 21:49
have your leg day on friday, Jesus Christ. its terrible doing it during the week
2023-06-04 21:55
The more you do it the less pain you'll have. We all remember our first few leg days :)
2023-06-04 23:13
yeah i have an advice.
never work legs again.
If u do upper body well enough to be big as hell your legs will need to support your huge body height due to your upper body. thats more than enough.
Oh...and dont forget....theres just 2 leg days until christmas!
2023-06-05 16:28
you need to rub semen into your thigs, works for me everytime
2023-06-05 16:29
if your natural, dont chase "soreness" and shitty volume
set your weekly schedule out like so..
upper
lower
off
upper
lower
off
off
focus on getting stronger and keeping form. stop trying to do what the fake natty guys on insta tell you to do. 30 sets for chest yeah buddy, no!
2023-06-05 16:30
buy some beer and use your legs to kick empty beer cans.
all ok
2023-06-05 16:32
Legday always on Friday so I can recover:)) it's one going out am moving like a drunk man and one going to work and losing balance when you get up xd
2023-06-05 16:36
damn you have to sit ? that's unlucky
2023-06-05 16:39
i understand.
i had my first leg workout, and the next day i have track and field class
it was crazy, my legs were shaking so hard
2023-06-05 18:42
people always say first leg sessions are brutal when you first start lifting
for me? first curl day. couldn't straighten my arms for a week. don't get me wrong leg day was bad as well but man
never experienced it since tho lol
2023-06-05 18:48
Little update
I couldn’t bend over without my entire lower body hurting for 48 hours but I’m ok now
I got 2 good workouts in for the past 2 days. Gonna do an active rest day today (last day of school) and get my second leg day in tmr
thanks for the advice everyone
2023-06-08 16:15
Go for a run morning, 20 minutes of hell but after cold shower u will feel much better (easy run btw)
2023-06-09 08:12
Cant do anything about it. You should move as much as possible even if it hurts to aid recovery
2023-06-09 08:17
Well.. I hope you stretch after your workout :) It really helps a lot. And dont do like 30 sec. Read and do it correctly and you will feel alot better. Also you can go for a morning walk before school.
2023-06-09 09:30
They won't hurt tomorrow, but they'll hurt the day after tomorrow
2023-06-09 09:46
Foam rolling and call in sick for the next couple of days
2023-06-09 09:53
Have a gym bro that carries you around and do errands for you <3
