i5 is cheaper, intel motherboards are way cheaper, and you can pair the much cheaper ddr4 memory with the i5, as opposed to the 7600x which is ddr5 only, and you get roughly similar performance in games and much better performance in everything else but sure, it's overpriced.

dunno where u live but in here AMD is way cheaper than Intel for example 13600K is 370€ and 7600X is 280€ and mobos are around the same.

i meant the total i5 build is, or should be, cheaper, the 13600k is only like 20$ more expensive than a 7600x in most regions, but a decent motherboard for a 7600x is at least 50$ more expensive. plus if you're on a really tight budget pairing the i5 with ddr4 memory will save you at least another 50$. obviously if you live in a region where the 7600x is that much cheaper, then buy the 7600x, there's really not much difference between them in gaming. i don't have a horse in the race, i have a 5600x, just hate the pointless brand wars, simply buy whatever is cheapest and fills your needs.

Both should be sufficient for CS2, I insist. Because in CS2 it should no longer be necessary to achieve 10000+fps to run game smoothly without issues.

both cpus are on par but amd tends to stay a bit longer on one socket so if you want to upgrade in the future then AMD is the choice (unless they come up with am5+ shit or something like that but it's unlikely) you won't probably see a difference in csgo between them

For CS both are equally excellent, for everyday use 13600k is better at multi-core tasks but it's also hotter and more power demanding

7600X because intel doesnt have any longevity for its sockets. next gen cpu they come out with will be on a new socket, meanwhile am5 wont be end of life for minimum 8 more years

Don't think he'll have to upgrade soon. The improvements are decreasing with each generation and the i5 is more than sufficient for the next 5 years.

the 7600x is slightly faster in general, but the 13600k is pretty good in terms of productivity in some cases, so I think it mostly comes down to personal preferences, price differences, etc, possibly upgrades in the future which AMD is good at

The gpu is a bit weak and overkill for that cpu but if i had to choose between them two i'd take the 13600k every day

I was in same situation some months ago and bought R5 7600X (had 3060 ti already). R5 was cheaper and better choice for future upgrades + switching from ddr4 to ddr5 = speed. I have nothing bad to say about the processor, huge upgrade over i5 8600k

i have an i5-13600k it runs hot so i went with AIO water cooler but does the job for me i paired it with 3090ti i get like 700 fps on csgo
