First, it's not worth going for AMD in the first place.
Second, no, it is not worth extra 40 eu.

Next to no difference, sillicon lottery would make more of a difference. Rather use that saved 40bucks for a better cooler.

1. No
2. Get the 7 5700, thats the best bang for the buck
2023-06-08 16:34
X model is for overclocking, i think. if you dont plan on doing that, then buy the standard one.
2023-06-08 16:34
5600X is about 2% faster
if you enable PBO with the 5600, you can get it to 5600X performance
invest that 40 €/£/$ in a good memory
CL16 over CL18 ram is really a big deal for ryzens ;)

Dead end platform and the 5800x3d will only get more expensive if you plan to upgrade in the future, get z690+12400f and upgrade to a k cpu in the future.
z690 msi a pro is a good budget motherboard, z690 gigabyte gaming x aswell, both overclock well.
Also there is no risk in buying 2nd hand used non k cpu.

I had the exact same question when building my PC, went for the standard 5600. Not that much increase in performance for the X version anyway.
2023-06-08 16:41
Not even slightly worth it
2023-06-08 16:42
5800X3D with some 3600mhz CL16 RAM is my recommendation for longevity if ur still going for the last gen AMD.
2023-06-08 16:42
Based on benchmarks the performance is exactly the same. You'll just be paying more to get an extra letter. In short, get the 5600
2023-06-08 16:43
if you arent going to do overlock (X is better for oc), 0.2 ghz diff is not worth it i guess.
2023-06-08 17:02
Just take 5600 and all good.
2023-06-08 17:04
Not worth it, even if you overclock the X gonna give you pretty much the same performance
2023-06-08 17:45
dont buy the 5600X, its not worth it
2023-06-08 17:49
Buy the standard and gamble the 40
2023-06-08 17:49
5600x is just a slightly oc 5600, you can get the 5600 and do the OC yourself really.
2023-06-08 17:58
it's better to grab a lower priced one and use that saved money to get faster RAM
2023-06-08 18:14
X skus are never worth unless the price is really close. There is a reason AMD stopped making the normal ones for r7 and r9 - they were too close to X skus being almost the same stock performance and the same after tweaks while being much cheaper. Go for RAM with Micron's E-die and oc it to 3600-3800 depending on your SoC this will bring you more perf/$.
2023-06-08 19:01
Save your money and get something decent don't cheap out games aren't going anywhere
2023-06-08 19:16
if ur sticking to AMD make sure to buy a fire extinguisher too and keep it close
2023-06-08 20:55
Probably not , x version a little faster but not too much. I doubt that there is big difference in performance.
