The funny thing about blameF hate is that ropz lurks just as hard, if not harder than blameF does - but FaZe have an entry pack of rain & twistzz instead of buzz & altekz, so it makes ropz' lurks look good because he kills saving CT's more often than having to save himself.

Good way to put it.
Ropz is also a much better clutcher though, and has the edge on CT side too.
I will also give credit to ropz in the fact that I rarely see him hunting eco's too.

"Broky rarely gets eco kills" is one of the most ludicrous statements I've ever seen anyone on HLTV make.
You don't have as good rating as broky does but with as low impact rating as he does by NOT getting a shit load of ecos and exits lol.

Do you even know what rating / impact comes down to ? It's prodominantly just entries for impact, which granted, broky doesn't do. But he's a great clutcher which is fuck all for impact rating, and rating comes down to kast, dpr, shit like that, which fairs, broky has good stats in but still.
You looking at BlameF and telling me his impact is righteous? lol. You can't say it with a straight face. Broky gets his fair share of eco kills but the narrative that broky is some kind of eco fragger where he farms stats is ludicrous

There's also several examples where it's glaring noticeable that ropz' lurk has taken too long, the difference in team strength elsewhere makes this a MUCH smaller issue for ropz
I will give credit to ropz in the fact that although he lurks extremely hard at times, his clutch potential is very very strong and often makes up for the fact he's completely abandoned his teammates in MANY situations.
BUT - You only get into as many clutch situations as ropz does BY being so far away from the action as often as he is.
I mean, have you seen ropz's aim vs blameF's? It's not even close. blameF pretty much exclusively goes for bodyshots, but most kills you see ropz get are crisp asf

Lol what? that has nothing to do with what I said at all.
Not only that, but EliGE, Get_Right, Snax, shox, Ax1Le, electroNic, Magisk etc. are some of the best rifler aimers we've seen across CSGO and none of them were headshot machines.
Ropz is incredibly clean and sharp but whether or not his aim is better than blameF really doesn't mean that much.

Not many people use it to joke about someone that definitely should be there, at least I personally can't say I've ever seen someone say it that way - especially in the context of Ax1Le here since he's the least decorated player on that list of legendary riflers I listed

+1, lurkers (especially passive lurkers) look so much more baity when their team is bad, because lurkers role is to usually make space after teammates have forced some rotations and gaps open up, their role isn't to entry to a site alone. Ofc Blamef is sometimes too baity, but if the team is so bad that all the other 4 players die without getting kills then the lurker is supposed to be the one that survives last anyway.
Funny thing is Ropz is actually good. He can clutch, he can frag. BlameF hides all game waiting for an advantageous fight and even when he gets it ONLY gets 1.
nice touch actually. in astralis blamef was never surrounded by quality players. first he had k0nfig by his side (inconsistent but more often hits than not), now device. rest 3, whatever iteration you take, are literal baits. only buzz averages at least 1.00 thanks to t3 online games that they played a lot

think the problem is blamef doesn't change, even though his team aren't succeeding- if he's meant to be the star, he should adapt, play different, get impact. many a player has done it, even ropz himself didn't lurk this hard when on karrigan's mouz because they needed different things. and if blamef can't put up numbers when playing a more involved star role, it shows that he's static and rating-wise overrated, not that he should revert

ropz was the hardest lurker in Pro CS towards the end of HIS time on MOUZ. He started to lean very heavily towards stats, it was pretty noticeable throughout all of the FaZe rumours and just before.
Don't get me wrong, I think he's the #1 rifler in CS of 2023, but if he had teammates comparable to that of Buzz, Altekz, Xyp9x, etc while on FaZe, he'd definitely be exposed for more of his very late and at times obsolete lurks

i said karrigan faze, and if he had teammates of that level it's not guaranteed he'd play like that. it's the inability to adapt that annoys me about blamef, and sh1ro too for that matter, plus the inability to take over a match in a meaningful sense (like win it for their team)

I know you did - but I wasn't. I'm saying there were times when ropz giga-hard lurked too.
There's been many games where sh1ro and blameF win games singlehandedly. A few minutes of looking through their matches and I could find 5 games from both players in the last few months where they just go off, I'm sure.
They have a lack of aggression within them to make THAT play, definitely, but they're also very dominant players who win games single-handedly, let's not act like they don't.
(Also, blameF and sh1ro are bigger "takeover matches" players than ropz is - which in fairness to ropz is mostly due to the fact he has broky, twistzz and rain to share that burden with)
blameF just sits there waiting for 2 minutes till all his mates die when always lurking, never did anything impactful or put any pressure on the opposing side of the map unlike ropz and he actually has a 100x better clutch potential and to say that this is just because of his teams that's false cause he was doing these things as well even in 2020 col with obo.

Bc openers constitute only part of the game.
Generally you have early round, mid round, and late round. Blame at good at getting openers in the early round and closing in the late round, but he is way too passive in the mid round for the roles he plays. Can you find me another person who plays roles such as Connector on Mirage and outside on Nuke but has lower deaths per round than their (elite) AWP?

I don't remember last year if he was baiting hard cuz i didn't really follow astralis but this year after watching him, i would say that he isn't baiting hard like alot people are saying.

It’s not very productive if your only gonna engage in the most exaggerated takes though. No player on the planet baits “all the time” but there is a nuanced discussion to be had on if he plays too passively in his roles

I don’t think he really “baits” at all. Imo his too biggest issues are:
1. He plays VERY aggro vs eco. I guess this isn’t really an issue but it DEFINATELY happens and is annoying to watch.
2. He plays his like his life is much too important each round imo (this is his biggest issue in spots like connector on mirage and outside on Nuke) I think him being last alive (he is pretty often) is a result of him constantly looking for advantageous fights but the reality is sometimes you have to take shit fights to give yourself a chance to win the round. Often he tries to find the 100% round winning plays that’s impossible while ignoring the 30% play that he could actually attempt

2)that's a fair criticism for blamef. Yeah he's most of the time the last alive, but he's not like ropz who doesn't try to entry, he actually does entry sometimes but he actually win the duel alot time, so he survived and he start to lurk. That's why he looks like he's baiting alot time, but i don't see any problem with that because he entry sometimes, as i said he's not like ropz.

Astralis won't win anything with blamef in the team.
If they really need to win a trophy or even be consistent top 3 they need to kick blamef out.
Today vs Col there were literally many rounds Astralis could have won if only blamef would have took to courage to take the fights instead just staying back and baiting his team.
