Future Astralis
Denmark CScapitol
What the hell. During Dallas the org announced the coming of Staehr, later this year or even earlier...in the middle of the tournament! Who the f does that?! Who, within the org said, "lets find a shitty timing to announce this. Lets stress the players to the max, and have them shit themselves". As i see it, only two players are safe in the seat. Device and Blamef. Staehr is going to take the spot of Buzz or Altekz. thats a given. Rumours regarding Gla1ve have been floading around for quite some time now. All three players are probably not resting easy these days. Dead team walking! They better get their shit together, before CS2 is fully introduced. Otherwise, its goodbye.

the org did not announce anything , if you actually read the article you would see that all parties refused to comment about it and no , steahr will take blameF's spot

I honestly thought when Astralis signed k0nfig and blameF they would become a superteam.. It's sad honeslty

there were hopes for a good team but no super team with lucky and xyp still on the team , it was very clear post CPH blast event that they need an awper first and someone to replace xyp

Only about 3 months after the signing they started negotiating with NIP for Device It just ended up dragging out for about 6 months because NIP wanted a ridiculous price. If Device had joined that team and Buzz instead of Xyp, that would have been an insane team.

Also i don't think BlameF is getting benched I think it's Gla1ve. Bubzkji said that he though so aswell on twitter. Add in the comments device made in his interview and it just kind of seems logical.

would be great if its gla1ve , opens alot of spots for good riflers to replace him

They aren't going to win anything with BlameF as IgL. That's for sure.

I strongly believe... you can't never win trophies with BlameF and K0nfig on same team. Whatever Astralis achieves/ed is what BlameF and K0nfig would have.
2023-06-11 10:36
...and if you read the device interview, they knew. confirmed or not. even a rumour of this importance, makes people within the squad tremble and lose their minds.

that was not your point , device =/= org and it happend post dallas tho i agree , they need to find who ever is leaking stufff like this , because it happend for lucky (when farlig was coming on) , farlig (when device was coming on ) none the less , it kinda did not change anything , buzz still really bad at lan even befor then news and still bad after , if its altekz then he just goes back to the talent team its 100% blameF

It should not be blamef. Defiantly not he does his role and might need him for igl duties. Device is also fufilling his part on the team. Imo they need to add k0nfig back along side of steahr and perhaps make gla1ve coach. Then add es3tag as that agressive supportive element. I hope astralis had some time to think about it. Clearly k0nfig has. I also hope hampus returns to a good team not necessarily nip. But I want k0nfig to be freed up. This would be astralis last chance. Altekz is interesting though.

I think removing BlameF is also a good solution. Sure, he is an amazing rifler but he takes up too much space in the game. And if you change roles and position to accommodate other players. His performance drops drastically.
2023-06-11 10:40
Nah should be gla1ve, device even said in the interview that in the current meta igl isnt as important as before
2023-06-11 11:01
in what universe does he take blame's spot, he's the star rifler, half of the firepower man

i imagine they are pretty comfortable in their lineup, no matter what. extreme consistency for a very long period on a high level. reaching play offs in every single tournament they participated in. but i agree that the disappointment of missing the last step to get more trophies must be devastating for the team, tho.

No way, i only see gla1ve kicked and blamef to igl. But astralis is astralis even - device + xyp is possible with them.

A bit similar situation as ENCE announcing Aleksib kick before the Berlin major in 2019. Except it was even more crucial moment.
2023-06-09 11:42
Agree total unfair timing for the youngsters buzz and alltekz specialy altekz he was doing great under the pressure conditions he was in. Now he is not. This was unnecessary . Although the coming of staehr is a good thing and much needed.

He wasn't doing great, he has a 0.98 rating since joining the main team. He just has a good highlight once every 3 games, but he often disappears like he did yesterday.

ofc cutting altekz some slack since he is the new guy settling in. under those circumstances he was doing great imo. just the difference before and after this rumor landed is quite noticeable. I hope he can break free from that path. im sure theyll have a talk and think of something.

Agree, the team had a moment of cohesion and good spirit until they heard that news. Now everyone is demoralised. And yes, it's Altekz or Buzz. Obviously all the "baitF" memelords will disagree, but even if you discount his low impact kills he still does much more work than the youngsters do so far

astralis are extremely bad at managing their players. When the astralis era happened, they didn't need to manage the players because zonic managed them and worked with them. After the trio split to VIT. Astralis has made bad decision followed by bad decision when it comes to roster and the way they manage their players. What they've done by publicly announcing they're going to have Staehr is creating a toxic environment for the players and making it that buzz and altekz might not follow the roles put in place purely to inflate their stats. Astralis need to manage their players correctly.

jesus christ....you know as well as me, that even rumors like this have a great impact on the team dynamics. Whoever leaked it, we will probably never know. but none of the orgs denied it, which could have settled things down. They didnt! it was a shit move, from a shit org, at a shit time.
2023-06-11 12:24

Well, that means point of your thread is wrong, the org didn't announce anything I can agree that astralis is a shit org, known for its unethical and ineffective moves. But in this particular situation it's not their fault and nothing they could've done really Denying a rumor is an L move, cos then they will announce Staehr and debunk their own lie. Even if the rumor is actually wrong and org denies it, it's still an L and I can give an example. I remember that happened to old mad lions once - when Danish leaks posted a fake about roej and someone else going to North, they rushed to Twitter to deny it. But when a real leak surfaced (about acor going to mouz) and they were dead silent - we all knew it was the truth So in conclusion: leaks just happen, there's no good way to counter them for an org or a player

fair enough. then let me ask you. who do you think leaked it?

very first leak i've seen was from harumi (belarusian insider). then a day later hltv themselves confirmed it, saying that they got info from "multiple sources"
2023-06-11 22:30
I feel for the new kids imagine getting promoted from the academy team only to learn that they can get kicked any time this puts unnecessary crazy pressure on them - why not keep the staehr plan among yourselves? if the young guns settle and maybe one of them starts delivering then at worst case scenario you've got a solid rifler you can sell to a good team
2023-06-10 00:59
1 reply
Because that's how it works. If you dont show progress, why keep you in the main squad and hold the team down? The pressure is part of the job description, you can get fired in corporate world too if you dont perform. Think of it as an internship. If you do a good job, you might be offered a permanent contract but if you dont, some other intern will take your place.

I agree #2. Org hasn't said anything but rumors got blown out of proportion so much that it derailed the team.
2023-06-11 10:37
I think they need a new coaching staff, would be pretty cool to see Ruggah and MithR join
2023-06-11 10:42
It wasn't the org who announced that, it was HLTV based on sources. What a melodramatic thread lmfao.
