yeah, you can for sure watch a Inter Milan or AC Milan match. As they both play in the same stadium, one of them will play the first round at home and the other away. If there was only one "big" name team in Milan or each of them had their own stadium, you would run the risk of them playing that matchday away and you wouldn't have any interesting match to watch. But in this case, enjoy it brotha :)

Do alot of the old region with nice buildings and cafe but I also advise the 40~minute journey to lake como or garda or both. When I went to Lake como you can walk up to the top of the hill in 30minutes or so and the views are really nice.

It’s basically a meme that originates from the way of life of the stereotypical Milan citizen and the overall quality of life in the city. As far as tourism goes there are some interesting things to see, but Milan is not nearly as good to visit as other Italian cities, like Rome, Florence, Naples, Venezia and some more debatable. Also a fair amount of criminality (which is blown a lot out of proportion in media)

Honestly speaking, aside from the usual Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Teatro alla Scala, Museo del Novecento, Castello Sforzesco and some lesser known monuments like Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, Chiesa di Santa Maria presso San Satiro or Colonne di San Lorenzo and probably more that I can't name out the top of my head, there's not much that particularly stands out for the average person. Then of course if you have particular interests, Milan probably has a lot to offer in that regard. Imho, compared to other Italian cities, Milan is probably one of the least interesting places to visit, especially during the summer, hence #14. I can name some places to avoid though.

forgot to mention places like city life, piazzale gae aulenti, piazza degli affari and stadio san siro could be interesting if you like modern stuff

ive been to some places in italy and i really loved the country, but never been to the northern part. im also going there with couple of friends so we'll most likely spend a lot of time drinking etc what would you advice to avoid?
2023-06-09 23:01

definitely avoid centrale at night, nothing interesting to do and there are way too many desperate people around. If you want to go out drinking be careful on Navigli, there is a lot of night life and some cool bars but a lot of teenage kids with knives, either way stick with your group and you will be fine. La Fontanella bar is very cool there. I would also recommend Porta Venezia area for drinking, a lot of people around there and via Lecco is a cool lgbt friendly place. Moscova, Porta Garibaldi area is also a popular choice. Tbh I don’t know what to expect in August though, since so many people leave Milan during that time and I would not be surprised to find it quite lacking. As for public transport goes, during the day just be careful for pickpockets, and during the night since metros shutdown for maintenance, be careful on buses for muggers. Honestly I took the bus a lot of times alone at night and nothing ever happened to me, but I did hear some bad stories, and if you want to stay safe just stick with a group and you will be fine

It's easy to say that as a local, but as a tourist Milano is pretty nice, man... and you've already listed a shit ton of things to check out. I agree that maybe 6 days is a bit much to visit a city, but depends a lot on how people do that 'visiting'. We went to Milan because of F1 though, and went to Monza, Modena and Maranello, so I might be biased.

Genoa is really good, but la spezia, savona, varigotti are way more better and suggestive. You can go to venezia by train and it tooks 2.30 with high speed train. Turin is trash don't waste time going there

Are you going to be staying there for 6 days because you want to or have you got some other things to do? Cause truthfully I don't think there's much to do in Milan for such a long period unless you want to go clubbing nshit
